So i was wondering with myself, is the black heart which you face at the end of the game, actually the darkness itself?? or the core of it?? the game doesn't seem to tell you this and it bugs me so much as i wonder, no way it was THAT easy to kill the darkness, nemesis of the traveller, consumer of light and worlds in a few minutes right?? or was it a part of the darkness and killing it has not removed the darkness from the equation but weakened it significantly, which is why the traveller is now recovering?? Also, the boss battle made me realise that although the darkness overall is the main antagonist, it seems for enemies you fight face to face in game, the vex were the main baddies, i mean they seem to worship the heart, and if they were made within the garden, they are clearly the darkness(?)'s main minions, this idea surprised me as i had first imagined the hive to fit the concept of the darkness's personal army since they themselves want to consume all light and leave the universe in dark. Bungie say that all 4 enemy species are allies of the darkness but i felt as though the fallen and cabal were barely linked to it, unlike hive and vex who seem like they are disciples of it, the fallen appear to be scavenging pirates who now control most of earth and the cabal just seem not to care what's what and who's who as long as they blow it up or conquer it, sorry for this all being so long but thanks for taking the time to read it! I'd love to know what you guys think, and if there is a canon answer which i had failed to notice, please forgive me and leave it down below, thanks!
