If your rank is below 5 he doesn't like you, get grinding, get more rep, get more rank, get more lootz

I'm rank 11 and still getting greens and blues from legends. Meanwhile I just got my second Exotic weapon and 4 legendary pieces of gear doing mediocre in the crucible out of the crucible. The cryptard is full of shit.
