Are Titans the weakest in the Crucible, or am I just worse than I think?
I've tried Crucible over and over. My friends tell me it's fun, and that you have to get use to it, but they're playing as Warlocks and Hunters. I'm constantly being wrecked by players, that are mostly Hunters and Warlocks. Even thinking about it, I don't really see that many Titans in the Crucible. The Titan abilities seem to only really work in defense, even the Striker Subclass. Is any other Titan just getting destroyed out there? I'm good at games like Halo and Battlefield, and I'll admit, I'm not great at Crucible, but this is out of control! Does anyone feel the same? Are Titans a weaker PvP class?

I'm a Titan and I have actually been doing better than I usually do in other FPS as I have coming out positive in most of my matches so I think Titans are good. Try to make sure you have gear that compliments each other as it will help a lot. So don't get rid of old gear that has good upgrades on them as they can be valuable in the crucible. For an example I'm going to keep my fully automatic shotgun until I find another like it but more powerful as it is good in the crucible.

I finished first in the crucible like 5 matches in a row with my Titan. just run around punching and shooting the shit out of people then drop the fist of havoc in a prime location and let the shock charges take out any stragglers. Aside from the Hunter and that lame blade dancer knife BS the Titan is beast mode

titans are BOSS. they have the most armor so of course they are the best. but you cant expect to be able to take a hailstorm from 3 players and survive. what you have to do is capitilize on your ability. my striker has the ability where when i get a kill with my melee charge i instantly start recovering health and shields. that means i just need to weaken a man down. punch his face. and im almost instantly ready for the guy coming around the corner

Everybody has their bad games. It might also be what weapons you use.

Titans are badass. I think it's just a learning curve. I play a hunter. I have some games where I dominate, and others where I don't know why I bother joining pvp games (check out my pvp stats, you'll see how volatile/inconsistent it can be). Do what you like doing. Personally, this game is infinitely better with friends, losing or winning.

You are kidding, right? Let's put it this way, I get more kills with Melee than my guns, and I've been ending up in first place lately.

I dont see any problem with the Titan class. I do not feel any weaker then the rest of the classes.

Check out my profile. You have to work at it with the Titan. I mostly defend points on control and usually end up top three. Train my fellow Titan.

I've played with quite a few titans that would disagree. You have to play that class like a tank. Work on your shields. I had one Titan just charge me (I'm a Hunter) and shrug off ever shot fired from a 203 pulse rifle and melee me. The ground pound attack is another killer for the Titan class.

To be honest I thought the titan was the best in crucible ! All it needs is some getting used to I guess. Good luck.

Had almost a 3.0 K/D when I started with Striker, have a 2.x with Defender now. They are better at CQC and worse at everything else. Both their base melees kind of suck (except compared to Gunslinger), but Titan can OHKO if you sprint for a while first and and Defender gains a shield after a melee kill. Fists of Havok is powerful, but much shorter range than many other Supers and hard to get multikills on longer range maps and outside of Control. Ward of Dawn is useless outside of CQC if the enemy chooses to just avoid you. It's a boxing ring with you at an advantage... where the enemy can choose not to fight you. Like all classes, the Titan Striker and Defender are good in certain situations and bad in others. You just need to get better or use a different class.

I myself have my main character as a Titan; and I find that I have plenty of fun & not much difficulty like you are. The Titan just may not be the class for you for PVP, try another one out for your 2nd slot!

I have come to conclude the same thing I have WAY more titan kills than any other class, my first kill PVP achievement with them and my first 25 kills bounty with their class.

I feel that hunters arent as dominant in crucible as they used to be in the beta. That titan defender ability is a guaranteed control point capture. Camp in that bubble with a shotgun

The shoulder dash is a one hit for example and if a Titan that is smart about the Defender Bubble and applied bonuses, can make a [b]big[/b] dent in the opposing teams score. -Concerned Warlock

Complete BS, Hunters have the worst disadvantage in the Crucible. I can hit a Titan or Warlock with a full grenade, shoot 12 times in the back and they're still at 2/3 health and no shield, but a single grenade and a Hunter is toast. Hunters have one of the strongest melee attacks but don't dare try and get close. I'm lucky to get more than 3 supers, but Titans and Warlocks constantly Arc smash and Nova Bomb. Which wipe out multiple enemies with noob quality skill. I've got 3 rounds and I better not miss a quarter inch... Hunters will kill you left and right because they require much more skill, especially in PvP... Now don't get me wrong, just because you play a Warlock or Titan doesn't mean you have no skills, but you have to be a tactical and strategic player. Can't just run in hit 2 buttons and clear the whole room...

3 RepliesThey are the most underpowered for pvp. Really slow and don't have powers you can throw. Which is a serious disadvantage considering the other two classes have powers that can be thrown. Ward of Dawn needs a buff to make sure you can shoot out of it otherwise it's not very useful in pvp. Even though you can use it effectively.
