Are Titans the weakest in the Crucible, or am I just worse than I think?
I've tried Crucible over and over. My friends tell me it's fun, and that you have to get use to it, but they're playing as Warlocks and Hunters. I'm constantly being wrecked by players, that are mostly Hunters and Warlocks. Even thinking about it, I don't really see that many Titans in the Crucible. The Titan abilities seem to only really work in defense, even the Striker Subclass. Is any other Titan just getting destroyed out there? I'm good at games like Halo and Battlefield, and I'll admit, I'm not great at Crucible, but this is out of control! Does anyone feel the same? Are Titans a weaker PvP class?

For all the bad rep this game is getting here, I believe the classes are all relatively balanced. Titans have high PvP potential, same as the rest, just requires skill and utilizing your abilities properly.

You really just have to find your niche. You could run a full CQB load out and just "shotgun noob" it with a Striker Titan or you could play objectively with a team in Salvage or Control and use Ward of Dawn on the points. I've done both and I always get decent reaults

2 RepliesEdited by bytemycookies: 9/15/2014 4:43:24 PMthey're not weak, its pretty balanced in my opinion. i think the titan is more of a "suprize mother ****er" class. when you run into him your havok should tear them up. you just have to realize even though the titan is methodically a bruiser in y our face guardian, in pvp the playing field is pretty even so dont go rambo unless you have your havok up and you know support isnt near.

I have a level 26 titan and my level 10 hunter has way way more wins. Titan suffers from lack of speed and armor boost while hunters get to keep their agility. Titan is a pve character at this point.

3 RepliesLike many have said, depends on how you use it. Make sure your armor is high, get a good AR and shotgun, and time your super and your melee. I've recked face with the fist of havoc followed by a shoulder charge on any survivors.

I do quite well as a titan in crucible. I run defender subclass with my sticky grenade. AR or PR and a shotgun. I have my codex to Maximum agility and armor, then just start wrecking. Then supe comes in and I bubble shield a capture point of my choice. Step in to my dojo Muda fukaaaas

Had some good runs today as defender aswell, problem is you need quite some lvld up stuff to make him work, the bubble sucks if you have no upgrades for it. But later on its getting really nice and can cause some troubles to the enemys.

Hell no we aren't I was wrecking face in the crucible with my titan defender the other night. Just have to know how to play.

Try defender sub in salvage. Good tactic.

You need to find a playstyle that works for your build. I was getting frustrated because I was trying to win mid-range gun fights with my titan, but that's not what it's built for. Try different tactics out.

Titans were made for the crucibal. Get a good auto rifle with high impact to pierce enemy shields quicker and you're a walking tank.

3 RepliesMe. Crucible no fun for me. The head shot thing stinks. Game play feels 20 years dated back to doom and quake. Rifles seem to do not much. Going in air assault rifle should tear the guy apart if he flies to get close for shoty. Most people I know complaining about crucible. We did not need another halo bunny hop head shot game. 5 halo games old and a new one being released. Truly no fun in crucible. Not really accessible to the average gamer.

2 RepliesDepend of who use them... But there one think, if one titan is inside his dome, there are nobody able to take he out... They become gods in his dome, and if you use it in a control zone... I only say some trick with the titan :)

If you use your Titan in a specific way it's good me and my bro are titans and we win nearly every crucible we're in

I feel like the Hunter and Warlock have better suited abilities for PVP, but I hold my own as a Titan. My K/D is just below 2.0 and I've played 30 matches.

Tell me what weapons your using. I will suggest: -Auto rifle, lots of ammo per clip, good accuracy, equals dead foe. -Shotgun, obvious. -Fusion rifle, a bit trickier, but does kill. -Sniper, if you prefer ranging. Surprise them if able; most barely check the motion tracker due to it's odd placement due to it's lack of expert visual assistance.

Last night I did rly good, top 3 all night, am a lvl 21 Titan defender, all in ur play style, and rly just got to have good timing.

I love totan and i am pretty good in crucible but my last few matches i messed around because the ones who mess around in crucible, end up getting the good shit at the end of the match

I'm a Titan and I have actually been doing better than I usually do in other FPS as I have coming out positive in most of my matches so I think Titans are good. Try to make sure you have gear that compliments each other as it will help a lot. So don't get rid of old gear that has good upgrades on them as they can be valuable in the crucible. For an example I'm going to keep my fully automatic shotgun until I find another like it but more powerful as it is good in the crucible.
