I've tried Crucible over and over. My friends tell me it's fun, and that you have to get use to it, but they're playing as Warlocks and Hunters. I'm constantly being wrecked by players, that are mostly Hunters and Warlocks. Even thinking about it, I don't really see that many Titans in the Crucible. The Titan abilities seem to only really work in defense, even the Striker Subclass. Is any other Titan just getting destroyed out there? I'm good at games like Halo and Battlefield, and I'll admit, I'm not great at Crucible, but this is out of control! Does anyone feel the same? Are Titans a weaker PvP class?

I agree with others in that Titans are favored in close quarters and many of the maps are close quarters, especially Rumble. As a Hunter it's frustrating when playing those maps.

Hey man, I can tell you that as a Titan myself there are games that just seem stacked against you. However we're not terrible at PvP as Titans, and we're certainly the backbone of PvE. I run with a Warlock and a Hunter constantly, I also use The Last Word hand-cannon in PvP. What I've seen? Striker is great for rushing targets with a quick opener, and shotgunning the others ( You have to flank them however for the shoulder charge, most people think it's instant, It isn't. ) Fist of Havoc can seriously lay down some law in a gunfight, I'd however STRONGLY recommend getting Death From Above. It makes FoH so much more viable for PvP it's insane. Personally? I run Defender for max speed and armor, with a focus around my Force Barrier. I'm not the greatest in a ranged fight ( Lacking the pretty abilities the other classes have for softening up targets ) however once I get close? It's the Titan's game. If I can get my Force Barrier up in Rumble, with the talent that allows it to continuously recharge? I'm getting three kills or four, no matter how many rush me. Titan certainly is not forgiving however. If you're flanked or sniped at, you are more than likely a dead man. Sticky Grenade and Ward of Dawn are good, but there is still some issues with grenades penetrating the shield and basically making it a pretty visual effect. We're not endowed with great abilities, but if you play your hand right? We are some sturdy targets. That also being said, PvE makes you feel like a god. I love my Titan on strikes, nothing like getting your Force Barrier and being able to clear trash without a worry in the world. Keep at it man! I thought the same earlier this week, but just learn where we excel and apply it.

As a Bladedancer, Titans are my bane. Your armour is too thick to successfully stab thro, but you will 1 shot a BD with pretty much any thing at close range. You super totally counters a BD's super and doesn't require aiming. I am still trying to figure out how on earth you can win Vs a Titan as BD, unless you get the drop on them... before they do it to you.

u r bad git gud
-
With guns we kick @ss but super wise.....warlocks and hunters seem to own with there's....blade dancer is the worst. But gun wise we are awesome :)
-
Once Iron Banner comes out, their high armor rating will come into play.
-
If anything, titans are OP. One hit kill melee, plus a shit load or defense= complete annoyance.
-
Shingen-E and a good shotgun that has range. Click on a rocket and your good to go. Run around with your shotgun and whenever you see someone on your radar, slide shoot and hit in one go and you'll kill them every time. Make sure to aim though. The AR can be used for any other situation except LONG range sniping. You'd have to be stupid to attempt that. Go sniper ONLY on the moon stage. The sight lines are insane. I remember getting spawn snipped. Pick a class and role with it. I can use both. Each has a slightly different strategy. With striker you can be pretty aggressive, especially if you have your super charged. With Ward of Dawn or whatever, you'll need to kind of hang back on the points. Pick one and patrol the area around it. Killing everyone. If they try and rush your spot throw down the shield and pull out the shotty. They can't mess with you now. If they are close enough for a one shot kill. Run, slide out of the bubble, pull the trigger then turn tail back to the bubble. It's your safe haven. Plus it helps the team out SO much. It's honestly just playing to the strengths of the Titan. Which is more health and better melee. Use it. :)

I'm doing just fine. Better than most actually. Gotta remember we don't regen as fast as others. We take longer to kill but, recover health slower.
-
Titan main myself, I do decent enough, but I consider myself pretty good at pvp games. I do think its much weaker then sunsinger and bladedancer. I alternate between striker and defender while playing pvp, use to only use defender until I got shot with a gunsliger ult through the shield and I cried. Also the titan striker ult can kill you too even if they land outside the bubble.
-
I'm getting slaughtered myself

I play titan and recently have been doing quite well in games playing the defensive tree. The shield is good to use as a super it doesnt get big kills because it doesnt need to. People who are new to having it used run inside and cant damage you much and are easy kills, people on the outside stand still shooting you, waste their grenades and line up easy kills for you. If you know you just got your super chance are everyone else has theirs, put shield down and wait until people use their supers on it and move out of the way therefore wasting their super. Also on capture the flag, place the shield down to take any cap point you want its so easy, Alongside every melee kill giving you another personal shield and blindly fast reload speeds. Honestly titan is probably one of the better classes in pvp it isnt extreme at anything and isnt bad at anything.

I think titans are the strongest but battlefield is completely diff man I have the same problem as you. I guess we're not used to the weird ways of how they kill in this game.
-
Use your powers only
-
Try being a warlock...
-
I have a 3.49 K/D as a Titan
-
Does no one understand the unpredictability of Fist of Havoc? You can see a hunter and warlocks use their super, but the fist of havoc is so damn unpredictable, and doesn't even take jumping into the sky to launch your super.
-
Your worse than you think.
-
I know what you mean I'm a 20 Titan but honestly I am always top 2 with n average of 2.0 n higher you just gotta play the advantages of the Titan
-
Im a titan who does cr Yuri cible daily and I never have this problem. You might want to try using shoulder charge since its a one hit kill, you just have to pay attention to the radar so you know when to get your running start.
-
Play to your strengths, I do pretty well in the crucible. Warlocks and Hunters have range on their supers, so try to stay out of the open for too long. I'm not saying become a corner camper, but just play the corners. Also, rushing your opponent is sometimes effective, it's funny seeing their reaction when they see me barreling down on them. Also listen to audio cues, you can tell when a Hunter activates his super by the sound it makes. A Warlock with his super available is pretty obvious because he will try to get in close to use it, so if you see one being brave in cqc, stay away.
-
The classes are all fairly balanced; you just need to find your playstyle and expound on it. Titans are naturally better at melee range, though.
-
i use the sprinting fist move, along with a good shottie ,..its pretty insane ... titans are really good and their super is devestating , they basically invincible during the super.
-
Could be that your play style in pvp does not take advantage of the titan is all.
-
Titans are retarded in crucible. That shield will force a 1v1 shotgun encounter and the fist can easily take out multiple people and the shotgun can get the rest
-
After careful deliberation, I've come to the conclusion that no class is "weaker" or more "OP" than the other. Why? Because it's all about what your play style is. In other words, if you aren't doing well with the Titan you either need to, a) change your class to better suit how you play the game, or b) learn how to better play the Titan class. It's that easy.
