I've tried Crucible over and over. My friends tell me it's fun, and that you have to get use to it, but they're playing as Warlocks and Hunters. I'm constantly being wrecked by players, that are mostly Hunters and Warlocks. Even thinking about it, I don't really see that many Titans in the Crucible. The Titan abilities seem to only really work in defense, even the Striker Subclass. Is any other Titan just getting destroyed out there? I'm good at games like Halo and Battlefield, and I'll admit, I'm not great at Crucible, but this is out of control! Does anyone feel the same? Are Titans a weaker PvP class?

I'll actually have to sincerely disagree with you, or simply respond by saying that it is in fact just you. It must be the way you are playing the Crucible that may need a bit of alteration. I actually switched from the Warlock class to the Titan class as it better suits my play style. It all boils down to the manner in which you game. Warlock is strategical and requires much finesse. Titan is about brute force and powerful defense. Hunter seems to reflect circumventing, wherein the revolving around the outskirts, and penetrating tactically. Think of it as Titans on the frontlines, Hunters on the outer limits, and warlocks on the backend. And I hope no one thinks I'm detracting from their classes. All are viable options, and they all have their role to play.

Titans are the most difficult to use but are he best in crucible if you can handle it.
-
you may just need to step your game up. Titans are very very good. Very forgiving class to play in pvp.
-
Titan's are good, about the same as Warlock's I'd say. I still believe Hunters are overpowered.
-
Titans are a bit harder to use because they're slower than both the other classes and little less agile. But personally I love being a titan. I don't have a problem using it in crucible
-
It's not the Titan it's the player, as I have found out through experience.
-
You just gotta know how to use the class, I like using the Titan :)
-
I do all right with the Titan. Maybe your play style would be better suited for a different class?
-
Can anyone confirm, do all classes having the same health in the crucible, and/or does the armor/agility/recovery make a difference?
-
Practice practice practice. I'm a Titan and I absolutely destroy in the crucible the only thing that kills me is the OP Nova Bomb and the pathetic shotgun noobs. Other than that I usually get 20+ kills a game and usually a good K/D ratio. Titan is a good class use your shoulder charge and increased height jump and spec your guy for recovery and that should work fine.
-
You just suck. I'm a lvl 21 warlock and constantly getting my ass handed to me by lower levl players, regardless of class

Edited by DuuJ: 9/21/2014 7:50:57 PMTitan fist of havoc is OP as well as shoulder charge. Blink knife for the bladedancer should be 1hk as well if that doesn't get nerfed.

There are different combinations of talents for each subclass that make them more viable for PvP or PvE. I'm a Titan and hardly ever have a hard time in crucible. Warlocks and Hunters abilities are nice, but it still comes down to being a better shooter and using tactics for the most part. I use Fist of Havoc when I want to quickly eliminate a certain person, group or to stop another super user. You don't really often get big groups to hit with it, which sucks. Defender is great for Control. You can toss sticky grenades and pop up Ward of Dawn over a flag and melee anyone inside without dying. I've fought 3 people inside one once, beat them all without dying and captured the flag. You'll get used to it and get better eventually.

Depends on you and your opponent. I went 33 and 13 in clash. I'm a level 27 titan

Edited by smokey: 9/21/2014 8:03:29 PMNot really. I chased I titan in to a room after shooting him to sh*t..... That just seemed to piss him off and I was running for my life shortly after that.

lvl 27 titan, not the best but i'm not too bad (1.7ish kdr), and striker is definitely viable in the crucible. With Shoulder charge, Transfusion and highest defence the titan is one of the best classes at melee, and fist of havoc is one of the better supers. With the exotic helmet that ads more bonuses to fist of havoc it is also versatile. The grenades are decent, with the 3rd giving good crowed control and flash bang always being viable. You can come out ahead in many even range fights because of extra armour, and the lack of agility not making much of a difference with shoulder charge + good positioning. Transfusion and the recovery codex gives a nice amount of recovery as well. In a way the class feels like it's designed for PvP, if you're" failing" with it you're either not playing it correctly or not as good of a player as you expect.

I'm level 24 and I started crucible at level 15 and got my ass kicked until I reached 20 that's when I started to get better and don't use your super charge unless absolutely needed. I suggest a shotgun and auto rifle
-
Depends on how you play. Maybe your play style just isn't right for a titan
-
You are propably worst than you think 'cause I die from titans a lot But not as much as the hunters do
-
I'm a Titan and I can say we are fairly strong in PvP. Shoulder charge just gives free kills, we can clear a whole room out and plus our armour looks pretty mint.
-
I'm a Titan a kick alot of butt, no class is bwtter or weakness, its all about how well you play the class you are
-
im a titan if im with ppl im always either 1st or 2nd look at my stats
-
Titans are the most underpowered guardian. Not only are we slow, everyone has equal armor... Hunters shoot faster, move faster, can teleport, and so on. Bungie you need to do something for us titans.
-
Hunters are the weakest link in the Crucible. All they get is supers. Everything else about them is inferior to Titans and Warlocks in the Crucible.
-
As a Warlock I'd definitely rather fight a hunter than a Titan in crucible. Titans bubble and melee is pretty BA + shotgun = GG. Just need practice man.
-
As a lvl 21 Titan, I can tell you that we are in major disadvantage compared to warlocks but we are on par with hunters.
