I've tried Crucible over and over. My friends tell me it's fun, and that you have to get use to it, but they're playing as Warlocks and Hunters. I'm constantly being wrecked by players, that are mostly Hunters and Warlocks. Even thinking about it, I don't really see that many Titans in the Crucible. The Titan abilities seem to only really work in defense, even the Striker Subclass. Is any other Titan just getting destroyed out there? I'm good at games like Halo and Battlefield, and I'll admit, I'm not great at Crucible, but this is out of control! Does anyone feel the same? Are Titans a weaker PvP class?

You're getting killed by a ton of hunters and warlocks and not titans, because titans are like unicorns in PvP.
-
Dear Bungie, Rock is OP, Paper is OK Signed, Scissors
-
Sorry, youre just worse than you think
-
Titan player checking in, and I dominate every single player I come across. You have to be smart about your positioning because your slower speed and lack of blink makes it hard to "panic evade" like the other classes. Also don't bother with defender, and don't just sit on your FOH. Use it on the first person you see every time. Every second you save it is a second that could be spent building up the next one.
-
You should probably use a new class, titans are really op with their defender class, but every class has something op to it :)
-
I need Titans!!!!! join me.... http://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Detail/373880
-
Titans can be OP as hell. They have the shoulder check 1 hit KO and and really annoying.
-
go to capture pointt drop bubble /dance when someone comes in melee. rinse and repeat wait for nerf.
-
Ward of dawn + shotty + stupid players = win in Rumble by 15 kills Don't underestimate the titan.
-
No it's just the way you play really. My buddy uses a Striker Titan and usually goes with a 2.50 plus KDR. Just max out your subclass and get use to it.
-
If I have a 1.0 K/D in crucible its a good day, I'm sure it has more to do with my skill then character
-
Titans are awesome you must not be as good as you think. Also you might not have the best weapons to do the job.

Edited by Aulakauss: 9/22/2014 8:07:02 PMI find this interesting, because I play as a Warlock and I can take on other Warlocks like they're jokes unless they have an obviously bigger gun. I.. have markedly less success with Titans and Hunters. Perhaps each class is strongest against itself? That was my theory, at least until reading some posts around here. Not so sure now. I have noticed now that I'm thinking of it that I constantly get 1-hit by Titan punches, but can remember no instance of it the other way around, even with melee ability. Hunters seem to have the best abilities at ranged in PvP, what with invisibility, proximity and cluster (and cluster prox) grenades and a predisposition for snipers. I usually do best as support/sniper because up close I get wrecked, even sometimes when I get the drop by a couple seconds and don't miss.

It's official, every class has complained that they are underpowered in some way, shape, or form. *sigh* time for someone to explain why every class is good for both PvP and PvE.

Edited by Haru: 9/22/2014 7:23:56 PMTitan shoulder charge is op.

10405 Score i can say They are Legendary

Edited by Jaster: 9/22/2014 8:06:40 PMWhat I'm hearing is you've recently got the game, am I correct? All I can say is practice a lot. You can't rely on the character like you do in most other games. You have to rely on your own skill-set, by that I mean you need fast reactions to defeat them. Also ignore all other skills you have in Call of Duty or Battlefield or even Halo...... Just because Destiny is in it's own league ;) <3

Titans the strongest So yeah your the worst

Edited by Teaful: 9/22/2014 8:03:07 PMDude. Make a bubble. Watch people who don't know better get in and try to melee you. Tbh I'm still getting used to my defender in PVP but with the buffs, plus the sticky granades and a good melee, you can beat the living shit out of anyone. Except if there's a bladedancer. -blam!- them.
-
Well you could be bad, but seeing that everyone either says "nerf the bladedancer, or nerf the warlock," and no one says that about titan, id say they're at a disadvantage.
-
I'm a titan and I love playing Crucible. I usually decimate during Control. Bubble shield on objective B + Invective + Armor of Light destroys teams. Throw on the sticky grenade and its a hard combo to beat
-
I do 500% better as a Titan than I ever did as a Warlock.
-
0_0 Are you serious? Do you even Shoulder Bash? Titians are extremely effective in PvP. Learn your class and play it well.
-
I wouldn't say they are horrible but their abilities are no where near as good at the hunters and warlocks. But I still manage to take first in almost every game i play, just takes a bit of practice to get good at it
-
titan, hunter = pvp classes. warlock = pve class. i seriously hate playing pvp with my warlock. theres no strength in the class besides one special and the ability to run away fast. no, i do not suck at pvp. im quite good but i get most of my kills by sheer weapon skill. like im master chief playing against a bunch of fast ability characters. they over nerfed the warlocks.
-
I'll actually have to sincerely disagree with you, or simply respond by saying that it is in fact just you. It must be the way you are playing the Crucible that may need a bit of alteration. I actually switched from the Warlock class to the Titan class as it better suits my play style. It all boils down to the manner in which you game. Warlock is strategical and requires much finesse. Titan is about brute force and powerful defense. Hunter seems to reflect circumventing, wherein the revolving around the outskirts, and penetrating tactically. Think of it as Titans on the frontlines, Hunters on the outer limits, and warlocks on the backend. And I hope no one thinks I'm detracting from their classes. All are viable options, and they all have their role to play.
