I've tried Crucible over and over. My friends tell me it's fun, and that you have to get use to it, but they're playing as Warlocks and Hunters. I'm constantly being wrecked by players, that are mostly Hunters and Warlocks. Even thinking about it, I don't really see that many Titans in the Crucible. The Titan abilities seem to only really work in defense, even the Striker Subclass. Is any other Titan just getting destroyed out there? I'm good at games like Halo and Battlefield, and I'll admit, I'm not great at Crucible, but this is out of control! Does anyone feel the same? Are Titans a weaker PvP class?

Edited by tonylim538: 2/25/2015 1:23:37 PMNot sure what your play style is but in my case, I have a tendency to try and rush into people with shoulder charge and pop em with a shotty. Eventually I learned that shoulder charge was what was getting me killed most of the time lol. Slowing down, playing more strategically helped me play a lot better in the crucible. And sticking with a teammate or two can increase your survivability if you're with decent players.

Rule nr.1: You can only become stronger by playing stronger opponents

Titans are great in the crucible. Shoulder charge and panic havoc are quite possibly the most whined about ability, closely followed by blade dancer of course. And the bubble of a defender? Nothing is more annoying to enemies that having one of those up, just be careful or enemy supers
-
Depends on your play style. Found Titans to be the worst but with a good user they are great.

I play defender titan and I'm doing ok in PvP. I love supressor grenades: it's always satisfying to stop golden guns, arc blades etc.
-
I was wrecking in the IB as a defender, everyone says they are rubbish but on control they can win a team the match. Striker is very good in pvp also - keep at it mate!

I find knowing the maps and player tendency to be key to pvp. I'm running a Titan as main since day one. Used to get destroyed on a regular basis. At one point I had over a 1,000 more deaths than kills. Over the last 6 weeks or so, I've shaved that down to around 200. Looking forward to breaking even in a week or two. Just be careful and think about your next move instead of blindly rushing in. Also, take what the map gives you and practice, practice, practice. Good luck fellow smash bro.

I'd use something other than atheons epilogue but aside from that your setup is good so you should do well, maybe it just takes some getting used to :) Use aftershock in combination with death from above for some wicked super moves and is the pulse grenade with the perk that make it last longer, so many people run through it thinking it'll stop but it just keeps going and kills them XD

My main Is a warlock. The other day I used my girlfriends titan, I now have a lev 26 titan that's on his way to 32 so I can retire the warlock. After using it in the crucible with the striker subclass I can confirm it is a beast, always had a positive KD ratio. Shoulder charge is brutal, fist of havoc just wrecks them. Titans rule man

No they are op

Titans are amazing in crucible. Shoulder charge and storm fist instantly regenerate health. Hunter and warlock have it way easier cause of bull-ogna one shots but you can definitely wreck with a titan. I dont play crucible a lot but ive gotten 30+ kills and 7k+ points
-
The devs said Titans are best class in crucible "so I've heard" never watched the vid myself but someone in a party was telling me that the other day. I lol'd

Arc Grenades, shoulder charge (it's a very situational ability, though) and Fist of Havoc are what makes a Striker excellent. Stick the Arc grenades on to walls to flush enemies and control flags and try to save your Fist of Havoc for multi kills, Control point captures and killing Bladedancers. Plus, you gotta pack some good gear and get good at gunplay. You'll be stomping pubs in no time.

They are actually the strongest
-
Titan's take getting used to. Most of their abilities and grenades are very situational. Cry babies complain all day about shoulder charge, but it's not an easy ability to pilot and if they are truly getting killed by it that much, they probably just suck at PVP. Fist of Havoc has very little range and often only takes out 1-2 people unless you are in the perfect scenario. Death from above requires you to be somewhere with a very high ceiling or outside for it to be effective, not to mention you have to float yourself up in the air in front of your opponents.
-
I think the titan takes a while too actually master
-
You're just worst than you think.
-
Played titan since beta. It's just as good offensively as the others when you get used to playing as one.
-
Im better with my titan than I am with my bladedancer... Even as a defender... Im guess everyone's just different
-
They are the strongest... You might just suck
-
Defenders are the most underpowered class in PVP IMHO. Unless you are playing against some serious dimwits, your opponents will either just avoid your bubble or take it out with their own super. Strikers, on the other hand, are an excellent PVP class. I played on my brother's a few weeks back and was crushing the other team. Learn to use should charge for more than just OHK'ing your opponents; use it as a way to create and close space between you and your opponent and you will be more successful with it. You can also use it to OHK people who are backed against a wall :)

Shoulder charge Titan bubble Fist of panic
-
Your class, your primary, it all hardly matter. What matter is your secondary, super and ability. Since that's all crucible is.
-
Titans are more situational in PVP. You just need to know when's the right time to use FoH and the bubble. For example. I play control if I'm actually doing PVP. On Firebase Delphi, I almost always throw blessings of light in one of the doorways where the B cap is. It creates a stalemate between both teams and allows my teammates to go through with every shields and do their best to mow them down. It just sucks that pretty much anything can destroy the bubble with ease.
-
You need to get use to it. My best score is on my titan 43-0. I have good games on him and on my hunter but I prefer my titan. You just need to get use to it. If you use defender in PvP, you're gonna be surprised because there is always 3-4 dumbs that come in the bubbles. You just have to 2 shots them with your melee (armor of light)
-
Titans overall probably are the most underpowered in PvP by far, considering the defender subclass. Hunters have it the easiest in crucible.
