Right so we've all played Destiny and we've all bought into the hype. But near everyone has said there is room for improvement. I have created this thread in hopes that somebody at Bungie will be looking at this and the comments people give and take notes of what we want in Destiny. So here goes, my list of what I want to be in Destiny: 1. Proper Customisation Sure you have your shaders and can change your armour and weapons...but that's about it. As I saw on a YouTube channel called Dear Bungie ( link above), he mentioned the Forgeworld from Halo. I've never played the Halo series but he explained to me what it was, he also suggested that this should be applied to armour and weapons. This is a fantastic idea! Bungie had said they want each guardian to be their own, what better way than letting them customise their own armour? Placing individual buttons and stitching lines on a Warlock's jacket or the bolts and scratches on a Titans chestplate would be a customisation element that would set the bar for other games. Imagine finding a hand cannon, then going into a customisation menu where you can change the colour of the gun, the handle, the site, the gun's HUD, the barrel, adding your own paint to it, adding spikes and knives (Red Death) or even your own Clan emblem as is shown in Battlefield 4! This would be intense customisation and would truly make each guardian their own. Speaking of each guardian being their own... 2. Choices [spoiler][/spoiler] We've played the story and found it lackluster. Its shallow, its linear and its full of interesting characters we're dying to know more about like the Queen and her brother. However, what if you made choices in the game that actively affected your story? This would truly be forging your own Destiny! Imagine if you fight a final boss and defeat him, you can choose to take him prisoner or kill him. If you kill him, you receive his gun which is highly unique and can only be obtained that way, but if you spare him, you gain a badass class armour from the Speaker. Visual story telling like this is what Bungie was going for and can be a definite way for other players to see you and go "Ooh, he's got that cool cape! He took Riksis Archon Slayer prisoner!" This would be the best way to actually make your own destiny rather than it be handed to you on a linear story. 3. Creative Missions No more "Defend Tyrion while he hacks into a control panel and opens a door."! Don't be afraid to be creative with the missions bungie! I have a few ideas: A) Fortress Assault A heavy, guns-blazing assault where two fire teams work together to take down an entire fortress filled with elite enemies. Hordes of grunts to throw at you and then behind them, an army of elite battle-hardened soldiers ready for you. This could be amazing for battles to remember among your friends. Incredibly difficult, only for the VERY elite! (Levels 25+) So difficult that it makes Dark Souls look like Mario Kart. The rewards are huge and the battles are huge and intense! The scale of the Pelennor Fields battle in LOTR! B) Sparrow Racing Pretty self explanatory but this needs to be in there! Imagine racing your friends for the title of the fastest in the galaxy! C) Defence of the Last Safe City (Public Event) A HUGE battle where you are fending off thousands of each race of enemy from the walls of the City! Defend districts of the city one by one from the hordes of evil invading the city! They've hinted many times about the Hive preparing to invade earth just look at the grimoire. They all make a truce to attack the last safe city and rid them of the menacing Guardians, the Vex, Fallen, Hive and Cabal combined attack the city with all their power. Depending on how the battle goes the city and tower could be damaged for a limited amount of time ( an hour or two?) D) Space Battles! Manual space flight would be an awesome thing to have in Destiny. Otherwise what is the point in buying better ship? Expansive space battles like the ones in Star Wars Battlefront 2 would be amazing in Destiny and I know they can pull it off! 4. Larger maps This is very likely coming but what is painstaking about these planets is that ALL of the coolest locations are off limits! The Citadel on Venus, the Cosmodrome in Old Russia, the bigass fortress on Mars. These are all the most awesome looking locations yet they are blocked off! Why?! Give us these bungie! I want to climb atop the Cosmodrome launch pads and look out over the rusted shell of Old Russia. This is likely coming in updates I know, but I want to be able to go inside overgrown buildings on Venus and into the fortress on Mars! Also weren't Chicago and Mumbai meant to be in the game? :S 5. Race Ranking This will sound weird but something similar to the nemesis system in Middle Earth:Shadow Of Mordor would be cool! Working your way up Fallen generals in the Houses to take down the Barons and effectively kill that house and have some impact! 6. Sparrow Customisation A forgeworld for sparrows would be amazing! 7. Factions In the grimoire it says about the faction wars becoming so violent. Let's see some of that! Actual PvP which is faction vs faction would be really good! As well proper faction missions that help your chosen factions could be carried or special unique strikes could be unlocked via different factions. Or actual perks and consequences for being in factions, I.e. if you're in New Monarchy, while in patrol you are able to be attacked by someone from Future War Cult. This would add some actual depth to the factions. 8. Depth [spoiler][/spoiler] Let us make a story that will stand test of time Bungie. Give us characters and stories that we will remember forever because of how awesome they were! Give the Queen a backstory, how did the Vanguards start out? How did Amanda Holliday become the shipwright? What are the factions principles and why are they fighting each other? And lastly can anyone tell me what the hell actually happened in the Collapse?
