Not a chance, that game has such a huge following something like this will never pull them away from it. Not to mention even for those of us who are die-hard Bungie fans destiny still only has about a weeks worth of content before you're stuck grinding for levels. Not everybody has the determination to sit there for 3 hours killing the same enemies for a random chance at the loot drop. Once a lot of people reach that point where there's nothing left for them to do they're going to go right back to call of duty.
