So the first week is almost in the books and the clan is firing on all cylinders. I would just like to say that when I began to develop the planning and goals behind the Dawnbreakers, I never thought it would become such a powerhouse so quickly and easily. We have a large force of the group that is just about ready for raiding. Today, we will begin running the individuals who have yet to take on the Nightfall mission or the weekly Heroic on the hardest difficulty through them in preparations for Raiding. I believe we are THE best clan on the console, hands down. I do not say that easily, as I have to think about this critically from a standpoint of weighing our potential and abilities compared to other clans. Here is what led me to this conclusion. Today, I wanted to see how our guys were doing and this is just a little bit of what I saw. I looked at various individuals and I am seeing K/D's in the mid teens to 20's. Now this may seem small, but I ask you to take a look at your K/D. Is it what it was in the Beta? I for one have seen a significant drop off due to the difficulty and modifiers attached to some of the other Strikes. I ran a smooth 33 K/D during Beta but now maintain a respectable 15.73 K/D. We have had to retool how we determine benchmarks because the Beta was obviously not a clear identifier of our skills. Therefore, we will be coming up with a clearing list soon that members will need to have cleared to reach the benchmarks in the clan. This also got me to thinking.....I wonder how we stack up against some of the more well-known clans, such as PrimeGuard and Legends of Earth. Here is what I have found. PrimeGuard We all thought that if we were going to have to defeat anyone in the clan world, it would have to be them. One thing to note is they are really full of themselves for all the attention they received. We got into a friendly Tweeting battle and they simply replied to us and Legends of Earth by stating: Immitation = Flattery. Take it for what you will. Here are a few of their primary members K/D's and levels: Datto = Low level 26 Titan with a Strike K/D of 9.84 Rex Smaals (Clan Leader) = 2/3 of Level 26 Titan with 5.1 K/D Lady of Legends = Level 23 Hunter with 6.81 K/D Legends of Earth This is another clan that has legitimate talent and one that is super cool with us. We have a friendly competition going on to see who will get to finish the raid first. Here are a few of their members K/Ds: Impact: Mid Level 25 Hunter with 12.83 K/D (He is also the guy that did the original best 10 clans of Destiny.) Skill: Mid Level 25 Warlock with 8.1 K/D Now to finish the longest news article I have written yet. What does this mean to us. After looking at these two clans and comparing our stats with theirs. I believe we are going to dominate. We have run a ton more strikes as a clan than any other. Our K/D's are looking good. Initially we had some setbacks on K/Ds but now that we KNOW the game, we can play it more efficiently. Come Tuesday, we will see how we stack up when the door opens on the Vault of Glass and we are the first to step on the throat of whatever Vex boss stands between us and our domination of this universe.
