Strike Plans: The Nexus

Hello everyone, I've been playing a fair amount of strike missions lately and I thought it would be a cool idea to put up my normal play plan when doing the Strike mission THE NEXUS This plan may or may not work for everyone but in my opinion this is what works best for me in the game so here we go. Strike Mission: The Nexus (Ishtar Sink, Venus) Target: Sekrion, The Nexus Mind Brief Description: Sekrion is the Strike boss. This boss generally resembles the Hydra enemy in physical appearance and attack pattern. Sekrion has a very large, slow rotating shield just like most Hydras do which presents a very large DPS (Damage Per Second) stopper. During your fight with Sekrion, Vex groups of Goblins, Hobgoblins, and Harpys will spawn with the occasional group of Minotaurs. Sekrion fires rapid cannon like plasma shots that deal a good deal of damage if hit with each shot. The Plan: My general plan that tends to work for me is keeping your party separated. Sekrion's weak point is his giant glowing eye but you also have to understand that seeing his eye probably means he'll be shooting soon, so keeping his aggro (attention) alternating between your other two teammates will give everyone enough time to breath and take cover to regenerate and reload. This part is very important! During your fight, Vex will be spawning in large numbers. Keeping separated is a good idea but as soon as you see those smoke clouds, hightail it to your nearest teammate and try to regroup. Dealing with the minion wave in a safe area from where Sekrion can not hit you is very very vital. The minions come before the boss. That way you can ensure safety in fighting the boss without having to worry about your backside being violated by the minions. Fights with Sekrion tend to be long and dragged out so try to get a good rythm for the plan and everything should run smoothly. General tips: Don't chance it, if you start getting hit by Skrion's Cannon shots, get in cover immediately, they will hurt, and the blast radius will tend to get you even around walls. Keep a good eye out for the group spawns, you need to make sure you have a good spot to fight them without taking damage from Sekrion himself.
