PvP One sidded warfare

its very easy to see that PvP is a strong part of this game. but you have made something that has so many flaws in it that its unbareable for me to even complete PvP games where your equipment = SHIT and the opponets equipment = GOD. to prove this. Titan class has this shield ability its completely overpowered when you KIT it the right way. the shield stops all projectiles going through it. but gives a shielded bonus meaning that when they pop out for that one FUSION RIFLE shot. they can take a missile directily and still live. the shield lasts a while and can even give this bonus to others. YOU CANT WIN AGAINST THIS. Hunter class has this bladed class and its OP. its speed is twice that of normal layouts. you can turn invisable and lunge at twice the distance. Worlocks...IDK yet im seeing mostly OP titans and Hunters. You also need to balance the guns. EX. Scout rifles, sniper rifles (on some maps) pulse rifles, Fusion Rifles (with low charge), plus anything with a LOW RPM is outclassed easily as the people who play PvP only have there stuff set up to own you in such a way that its COMPLETELY unfair. current OP weapons. Shotguns- Kills at Moderate range (proveded wth an INSTANT melee followup attack), Fusion rifles with HIGH charge rates shoot off so quickly that its unavoidable and deal ALOT of damage at long range for something that goes into the Special Slot, LMGs are littlerally SPRAY and MURRDER no need to pray with these Accurate Monsters, Rocket Launchers are HIT or MISS they are suppost to instant kill but i have seen a few bugs where a DIRECT HIT results only in there shields getting killed and not there health the map are well layed out and i like that. but its easy for shotguns to OVERRUN the game and make this game quite unfair to NEW players and anyone trying to go PRO PvP Please consider a patch of some sort to rebalance the game so it cant be such an OP game. something like a PVP ranking thing that change as you play depending on how good or bad you do. and only puts you into game with those close to your skills level and not just your In game LEVEL

  • You can't compare this PvP to any other PvP period. You have to play the game to get good gear to have an awesome guy. If you want to just jump straight into to PvP without putting any effort into the actual game and expect it to be balanced then go back to Halo or CoD. I personally like that all my hard effort I put into this game make my character better than those who don't. (Doesn't mean I don't get killed by level sevens all the time.)

  • The Iron Banner isn't out yet, so right now, there are no level advantages or stat advantages. Just who can play better. I've played against the "shotgun kids" a lot, honestly, it's not that hard to deal with. Watch your minimap, don't run around corners without knowing or assuming there might be someone sitting there, and keep moving. I see a lot of players get wrecked because they come to a complete standstill when they shoot, and they take forever to fire, like they're lining up a shot. If it's not a sniper rifle, you don't need THAT much time. As far as the weapons go, again, until Iron Banner is out, it's gonna be Auto Rifle+Shotgun+Rocket Launcher. The most consistent damage in a game will be the most guaranteed. That's not saying the other weapons suck. Hand Pistols were horrible in beta, an wtf is a Pulse Rifle? But if you take two ppl shooting each other at the same time, and one person gets out another bullet or two each second, then of course, they're going to win that duel. The supers are a hard thing to judge. I play Defender Titan, so I get the giant dome shield. It's hilarious when I see someone running around, they turn the corner and just stop dead and try to wait it out. I don't mind at all. The shield is a massive gamble. On the one hand, I'm in this protective shield, bullets won't get through. Super Novas, Fists of Havoc, the aoe super WILL get through. If someone runs in, I really hope I have the defense inside trait on, and they decide to melee me, because then I may win. Or we'll get the Hunters and their dam arc blade, and it won't matter what I have, I'm screwed. I really really don't want this to sound mean, it's JUST a viewpoint, but until the Iron Banner comes out and we see how gear and stats truly change the balance, I figure this is pretty balanced compared to certain other games I've played where there's camping nonstop, 100% stealth and 1 shot classes no matter how much defense you have, crowd control for ages, etc.

  • My opinion is to just make it in different level brackets, when you are 10-15 you cannot compete against players 20-25, too many class and gear perks that make it unfair.

    • Level advantages are disabled a level 5 can drain your health with a auto rifle just as much as a level 22 that being said the level 22 while not taking as much time to kill has more tricks up his or her sleeve see the thing is perks give players more options and variability and those come with levels to an extent. Weapons as of now all do the same dam and everyone has the same def in these pvp modes your armor (amount of health) recovery (health regen time) and agility (sprint speed,duration slide length, and jump height) are all different pvp is pretty balanced IMO I went in the 3v3 matchmaking with some friends and we also went up agaisnt an organized group of 3 and they beat us despite us being higher level and having more stuff gear doesn't affect the game too too much of course legendary weps with little nifty things here and there help but the pure ATT and DEF stats are the same for everyone... Wait until you see iron banner next month LOL

        You're stupid man, if you don't like your class or gear go play single player and get better stuff. PvP games where everyone has the same stats suck and get old very quickly. And in real life guns are all different why should they be balanced in this game? Because all the other games are like that?

          • I agree with you man. The pvp is a very iffy place, im fairly good at it but even i feel like i get some pretty unfair streaks. I use a hunter and when i use my arc blade im practically invincible same with the golden pistol.

          • I thought I was at least average on PvP. This isn't too much different than CoD and Battlefield, run and gun, but there's still something off base. The low level (sub 10) players don't have the gear or special powers to compete with the many, many lev 20 types in the Crucible. Need to fix that. At least separate out the high and low ends.

            • I can at least agree with supers being easily spammed, if you roll with teammates while using your supers, your team members can pick up orbs to earn theirs sooner and their super kills will drop orbs for you, rinse and repeat. I remember a match I earned my arc blade well over 4 times. That's a lot, especially when other team members have theirs as well. I do get what people say when they say that each class and their super is unique, but I think supers should only come around twice a match for each player. Players would use their supers more tactically rather then rushing to use it ASAP so that they can earn more of them. If you only had two uses, you would use your first one wisely, but also not too late into the match so you can be sure to earn a second one. In my opinion, too many supers can ruin a good match. The gun play is pretty fairly balanced, I just think the supers kinda kill the flow if they come around too much.

                I'm bad at this game = bad game wtf personally I'm a warlock and I use a scout rifle and a shotgun and I have a pretty good kill death ratio about 2 or 3. So whats OP? [spoiler] if you're within 5 feet of a shotgun and you get shot you should f****** die[/spoiler]

                • So what you're saying is... everything is OP? If it is all OP, isn't everything balanced? I find it funny that the game hasn't even been out for a week and people act as if they are so familiar with the game that they have the right perspective to judge its balance.

                    • PvP was quite balanced back in the Alpha and the Beta days. But they were balanced because everyone was restricted now that you have released the full beast on people flaws and problems are showing i just played 12 diffrent games and got SAHT on by the opposing team it its obvious that you need to look into this. also look into people cheating i just realized one of the trophys for PSN was locked untill today and someone has all of them before the game launched.

                      • Legitimate gripes overall but there are enough of then to balance out. I use fusion rifle because I get owned by shotguns and ARs. I use blade dancer to counter the Defender Titans but they can still take me if I can't catch them off guard. My buddy rolled Warlock and counters constantly with Sunslinger or Void. But honestly these are good things to me. Each class has an OP skill but can easily be stopped by another. Though I will give you the Defender can single handedly stop even the blade dancer but the Titan strike move is so tempting I can see that being a self balancer.

                      • You have all the "op" abilities that everyone else has so why are you complaining about it? As for your guns complaint, that can be said about any shooter ever made. There's guns that a are better than others because of stopping power just like in Destiny.

                        • Most of u complaining A) are just not good at FPS shooters online or B) Not use to PvP, Destiny brings a new element to FPSs considering its an MMO meaning u have gear and classes. The crucible is pretty fairly balanced in my opinion. In my experience with WoW which has like 12 different classes and each class has 3 talent trees. Everyone complained about everything being overpowered and as the game constantly was changing different classes had the upperhand at different points. Except destiny has a counter to classes and gear considerings its still an fps so u have to have skill to kill someone aka aim for the head. U can shoot someone in the chest all day long but if their shooting back at ur head u will lose no matter what everytime. The supers are all pretty balanced they have their pros and cons but i already explained that in another post so if u want feel free to go read that. And to whoever said tanks shouldnt be in PvP that its not traditional you are completely wrong In a competitive atmosphere tanks are a great asset to a strategical team. Every class in WoW that had a tanking spec had a PvP tanking spec that worked very well in combat.

What you just said is not even true. That barrier the Dawn provides is minimum. The Shield of Dawn can also be shattered. Also, I play with that subclass. Know how people die? Cause idiots run inside and get shot. Thats not overpowering, it's strategy for a tank that otherwise has nothing

                                I agree that there are waaaay too many one hit kill weapons. Rocket launcher makes sense to be one hit though. And as far as the classes, well no. Every class/power has a weakness

                              • I think each class having it's own special powers was kinda then idea. This isn't call of duty or Halo, they made that clear when the dropped the project. At first it was frustrating for me but as a a Warlock, I learned to adapt.
