Baboons, Centipedes, and Flatworms. Oh, my!

Well, the veritable who's who of the various animal kingdoms is an amusing, and easier-to-remember, change of pace from the usual error codes. However, it is getting a mite discouraging. I'm not on a university's network, so that's out. Granted, my poor DSL likely doesn't know what hit it with Destiny sucking the data down like a greedy Veruca Salt... but I haven't had issues prior with many, many other games. So, here's the stats: Platform: PS3 PSN: Ulkesh ISP: Parallax (line leases from Frontier, who line leases from AT&T) Connection: DSL modem/router (Ethernet Cat6 connection) I've made sure to open the ports listed for the Centipede error, no change. I've also tried putting the PS3 in to the DMZ, so it's wide open to the scary outside world. No love. :-( Any tips would be appreciated :-)

  • Just something you can try may help for something in the future or may solve the issue your having right now. Call your ISP and ask if your modem is acting as a router or is it just a modem. If your modem is acting as a router it does not matter what ports you open or close because your modem will have blocked them before it got to your personal router.
