I have been unable to play Destiny at all for two days now. During the midnight release I was able to play intermittently, however only for maybe 2-5 minute intervals before disconnecting again. But from about 4:00pm (EST) of the 9th I have constantly received the an error message when "logging in" to destiny telling me "Your connection to Destiny character servers has been lost."(Error code: Chicken). I have a NAT type 1 connection and have no other problems playing games like Titanfall or Battlefield 4 on my Xbox One. Other people on campus that I know have had no issue using PS4's to play the game while I've heard of others with the xbox also struggling. I've seen on a variety of forums that some people at university campuses had similar issues but they also seems that they had a NAT type 2. If anyone could help with this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

Fixed my problem it had to do with the firewalls of alot of universities blocking ports destiny needs. download hotspot shield and connectify, start up HSS first then start a conectify hotspot on the HSS VPN and connect your xbo to it. it will let you play, you will have a strict NAT type but it wont affect you in anyway (still be able to chat, etc.)
