LVL 26 VEX??!!!
Ran into more than a few clearly marked as level 26 Praetorian Vex enemies. They instantly killed me. Has anyone else run into them? Are they guarding a future raid or dlc portion of the game?

Found this on a link that was informative : Each element is tied to a certain enemy faction. and their shields are that element. using the element on them deals bonus damage and helps take down the shields much faster. Fallen - Arc damage, signified by blue shields Hive - Solar damage, signified by orange shields Vex - Void damage, signified by purple shields (exception: some Harpies have arc shields) Cabal - Solar damage, signified by orange shields Most of the time you won't need the element to deal damage, but in a few rare cases (I've noticed one area so far with Vex Harpies with Arc shields that only take damage from Arc attacks). Your primary weapon will usually be Kinetic damage. Your special and heavy weapons can and should have an element. Preferably one of each element so you are prepared for any encounter.

1 Replyyeah .... I've run into few on Venus while roaming. Got a patrol mission where had to scout area from top of a pillar. There was one of those bad mammajammas walking round. I jumped up to small ledge till he came right next to me on other side of pillar and sneakily completed mission with him standing right below. Read online that you need Fusion rifle with Void damage to hurt them. So far I've just run and dodged them. I've been taking out the regular Vex with Pulse rifle but now wonder if Fusion would do more damage ?

I hear that. I'm not even attempting the Vault of Glass until I'm level 26+ as just one level 26 Praetorian Vex take a lot of beating and has the firepower of a star ship! dammit.

I took them out, but after exploring what they were guarding I was disappointed to find nothing, not even common loot.

Saw them too! When doing bounties in Venus right where the goblins are under the big bridge. And they where lv 12-13 and those guys where lv 23
