So some backstory, I was mainly a pc gamer, that usually focused on wow, and cs go. About 2 weeks ago my video card literally melted its casing and the plastic ruined the motherboard along with the power supply as well... Sooo I'm out of a computer for now. I've been using my xbox one (sadly) as a main media browser/gaming device with intentions of picking up a small tablet.
Now that got me thinking.. I've been wanting to start streaming but I picked up the one without kinect (I really hate voice commands), but I still need a webcam. I thought I would be forced to get a kinect, which I still may be, but I read up about an app on iPads called iWebcam.. Since my original plan was to just use my tablet to manage the twitch dashboard, could I possibly knock out 2 birds with 1 stone and use it as a webcam as well? Or does the xbox one require Kinect only?

It requires the Kinect. You cannot run two separate sources to stream content to Twitch. It's only one connection... so once again, Kinect is required if you want to use a "cam".
