Title says it all. Personally I'm really looking forward to seeing what J.J. Abrams has in store for us. I think he did really well with the Star Trek franchise, so I have faith in him for the Star Wars franchise. I'd be interested to read other people's thoughts though.

I'm looking forward to it. In my youth I loved all the Star Wars books, comics and films I was able to obtain. Nowadays I don't enjoy it as much, but I'm still interested in seeing the new film :)
-
I just hoe disney doesn't -blam!- it up
-
I'm excited and yet scared to see it. My childhood cannot be ruined!
-
Well, I bet the guy who played Chewbacca is pretty jazzed about it for starters.
-
Not really a fan of SW, but I'll watch it just to see how it turns out
-
Eh. Got rid of the EU, so it better be worth the loss.
-
I'll like it storm troopers are not completely useless anymore. #Dierebelscum
-
I know I'll watch it, I reserve judgement until then.
-
Meh. Never been much of a SW fan.
-
Very excited. I find it hilarious that some people completely mistrust Disney in making a new Star Wars movie, considering how extremely successful it has done with the Marvel movies.

Edited by Sarah: 9/6/2014 7:22:29 PMI go for simple data. Director Writer (sometimes) Cast Genre J.J. Abrams. Check. Cast. Who? Genre. Star Wars. 2/3 chance I'll enjoy it.

Yeah more lite sabers, more action, more old ass clone troopers (just hoping for a clone character), more fun coming soon. (^_^)
-
No. It feels like a pathetic money grab from Disney, from a movie series that died in the 80s.
-
Edited by Arashi Sora: 9/6/2014 11:18:52 PMNot really. I'm a huge pre-Disney Star Wars fan. But they screwed everything up, and this new movie will probably be terrible.
-
Everyone is effing old
-
I am cautiously optimistic.
-
I hope it sucks.
-
To much lore.
-
I'm not sure. I doubt I'll see it in theaters, but I'll probably pick it up from the $5 bin at Maverick a couple months after it comes out.
-
Yea, I'm excited

Once I see some marketing and promotions the hype will start to kick in. Just wait until we see a teaser trailer. I was seven years old when the Phantom Menace came out and I remember the hype (also for the subsequent films)...Star Wars was everywhere. I'm really hoping I can see it at midnight with a group of friends. I love the atmosphere before a Star Wars film is released. Kids are happy, and adults are too. Now, the movie just needs to live up to all of our expectations.
-
uhhh...YEAH!!!!!
-
Abrams did great with Star Trek IMO, the cast selection is very good, and it's part of a new gen of Star Wars EU with zero limits Should be good
-
Idk. Haven't seen anything.
-
Eh, I gotta see a few trailers first.
-
I'm from the original Star Wars era and TBH I'm more than a little tired of it. Of course i loved it as a kid and for the time it certainly was unique, but I feel it's more than over hyped now and I just.....don't care.
