I don't like starting new threads, but wasn't able to find my answer.
Working with and being parts of clans and alliances in the past, there was a requirement to show the membership/affiliation to said Clan.
I have seen in a few other clanmates GT bio & motto fields some of the following.
Motto :DoD Company Name
Bio Dads of Destiny
Company name
Motto: Dads of Destiny
Bio DoD Company name
And variations of the above. I'm most likely over thinking all of this, but what is the Dads of Destiny clan view of this affiliation info in our GT bio and motto fields?
If i completely missed a thread that contains the answer, please point me there and if this thread no longer serves its purpose ill delete it.

I went looking around the other DoD forums, and I couldn't find anything saying "YOU MUST DO THIS RARRGH!". So, nope. Sign up. Play. Grab some Clanmates and beat back the Darkness. The rest are just details, and I don't think any of us are glory-hounds looking to make a name for ourselves as an ultra-competitive Destiny clan. Enjoy the game. See you in the Tower, Guardian.

Don't worry about deleting it this is a very laid back clan. You can start as many threads as you want the only thing I ask is if it is not destiny related keep it on the general chat thread that is pinned to announcements. Now to answer your question you can show as little or as much affiliation as you see fit. The clan tag DoD will automatically be added to your characters if your xbox live is linked to your profile here, any thing more than that is up to you of you choose to add the motto DoD 360 Charlie is good and as far as gamer tag changes that is up to you as it costs money.

Interesting topic, so thanks for starting it. All I've seen is advice on adding clan tag designations . Personally, I've seen all sorts of requirements for how you need to look (armor config, color scheme, emblems) and what you need to advertise (tags, GT add ons, mottoes, slogans) and my take away from all of that is this: Wear what you want, list yourself how you'd like, and play. Someone always seems to get bent out of shape by having to conform to some standard and really, what is the point? We're here, aren't we? If folks want to impose or request that DoD 360 Charlie have some of these affiliation or visual requirements, that's fine, but I humbly request that we collectively give folks their leave to be individuals and do as they please. Even if we end up rolling out in PvP together, does it really matter much if opponents can see that we're in a particular clan? I think likely not, unless we recruit some top notch pros and put a regular hurtin' on folks such that we want them to remember "how bad it was when we played those DoD Charlie guys....." I'm in a lot of other affiliations. If I were to motto or bio up everything, I'd be a Spartanhawk (since Combat Evolved) Halodiehard, 2nd Platoon Easy Company, DeathDebtDealer, GeezerGamer, GeezerinArm, Dads of Destiny and maybe Seattle Sounder East. Gets to be a bit much, IMO. Sorta bottom line: I respect anyone's decision to want to identify with a particular group just as much as I hope you respect mine to not do so, even though I'm part of that same overall group. I'm here for the community and the shared experience.
