Feedback about the terrible Collector's Editions stock
Hi, I pre ordered my PS4 Limited Edition copy on Bungie Day to Amazon.com, I was super stoked of playing the beta and A MONTH LATER the order just plain DISSAPEARED, I had to contact Amazon customer service and after 15min they managed to tell me that it was cancelled due to lack of stock. That's not fair for the consumer, Bungie should have stated that they were releasing X quantity of each edition from the day they announced it, now you go to eBay and see a lot of people who are not fans of the franchise selling it for 2 to 4 times the original price, at least they should have honored the people who preordered on F*ING BUNGIE DAY! You know, the same day it was announced...
I am clearly hurt as a fan of Bungie, they were the reason I purchased an Xbox and an Xbox 360, I have all Halo Limited Editions and will never sell them since I truly love those games, now I feel cheated with Destiny and will wait for a PC version to be announced to get my hands on a Limited Edition, I am dissapointed at Bungie's latest decisions: ultra limited stock, DLCs charging 35% of the full game price and offering very little: 2 story missions, 2 assaults... the first one on The Moon, are you kidding me? At least give us a whole new setting like Mercury, we have only access to 4 maps without further payment (3 planets and 1 moon), sorry but I don't see the value of purchasing the game and needing to buy again PS+ to play online, in other words I would need to cash in $60+50 to play the game with my friends, and an extra $35 for an Expansion DLC to access just 2 story missions in the same settings I already know (The Moon and then probably Venus).
If I can't get my hands on a collector's item then I will wait for a digital copy that includes all the DLCs in the future, in the meantime I have Borderlands 2 GOTY and a huge Steam Library to play. [b]PC VERSION BUNGIE, MAKE IT HAPPEN PLEASE![/b]

I went in store to EB games and had the choice between Ghost and Limited since I went in literally the day it was announced. I decided that limited was the better deal and upgraded my existing standard copy pre order, and payed the whole thing off just in case. I don't know how online pre orders work, but I made damn sure that mine was completely paid off on day one to lock in my copy. I understand that having your store over sell was stupid, but sadly there isn't much you can do. So complaining won't do you much good.

1 ReplySo you are mad a store oversold something that they did not even have enough guaranteed stock.. Since you are a Sony user i will cut you some slack. it is well known that when Bungie sales something as Limited it is Limited. Amazon sold out within 2 minutes of going live. I was downgraded but I wont complain That I was not fast enough to get my order in. I will play the version I was able to get and I made sure I put my name on the list to be contacted is someone canceled their order. :)

I was one of the first people in my entire city to preorder ghost edition, and that was as soon as we had the sku numbers at the gamestop I use. I'm getting mine.

I've got no problem with them making the limited and special editions actually limited. However either the distributors or bungie made a huge -blam!-ing mistake by allowing them to be over pre-ordered. Can't say for sure whose fault it was so we'll call it 50-50. But I think it's bs they pre-sold them then didn't have enough to fill the orders. Both bungie and the stores should have known how many were being made before they went on sale. IMO

As I first requested a GE at EB Games in Canada & they messed up & I was stuck with an LE preorder... and as now they are DOWNGRADING LE people to SE to give the LE's to those who had their GE's cancelled. and even though I upgraded my internet & have a huge Destiny poster in my game room, I may just walk away at this point. All I ask in life is to be treated fairly. When I'm not I find somewhere else that will hopefully treat me that way. VtxR - PS3
