I went over to Gamestop today because my friend and I had to finish putting money down on Destiny. I still had $24 to go on my Collector's Strategy Guide, (I really wanted the lithographs), and he had $22 to finish on his Limited Edition. Being a 18 year old who works at McDonald's, I don't really have much money to throw around so I was scrapping just enough to finish this pre-order, but after that I wouldn't have enough to get my hair cut, which I so desperately needed. However, I knew Destiny was more important and that I wouldn't have enough to finish the pre-order if I got my hair cut because my paycheck doesn't come in until after its release. Anyways, We walk into Gamestop and fortunately the employee told me that ordering both the game and the guide would save me 20% on the guide, so he pulled out his handy dandy calculator and came up with a total that would let me finish the pre-order for only $11, ultimately saving me money and allowing me to get my hair cut.
If you guys have any stories on any pleasant experiences you've had with Gamestop, I'd like to hear them. I hear a lot of people complaining about the corporation, but it's not all bad.
He also ordered a barbecue truck for the midnight release
Normally it's the only place I purchase my games. For a long time had the same great group of guys working the store, they were very knowledgeable. Then one day I walked in it was all new people and they actually seem to be pretty clueless, was very disappointed. I learned that since there are 3 GameStop stores relatively close to each other, they started rotating the employees. So I just went to the store that my group of guys were moved to, all is well : )
