Why are many of us shy on mics?
While browsing our raid threads, I've noticed that many of our members have a mic, but are really shy to use it. I myself have never used a mic before, but because I want to raid and I know that raiding needs good communication, I went out and purchased one. Have you had negative experiences over the mic before and do you think these issues will come to Destiny?
The one thing that I think is good is that you make your own teams for raids, so the people you will have on mic (if from our group at least) should be polite and respectful at all times. Would this help your shyness at using a mic in game?

1 ReplyDestiny will actually be the first game I play on the PS3. Prior to that, I've only played on the Xbox 360, and I have generally gotten verbal harassment/messages from other players in game. During the beta for Destiny, I didn't realize that no one could hear you if you weren't in a Fireteam! But of those people who I played with randomly, they were extremely welcoming and nice, so I'm hoping there won't be any issues on Destiny. I actually hope that Bungie will not change the chat system to where everyone can hear you. Then I just shut up right away, haha. Otherwise, it's really nice to communicate with other players. A lot easier than sending messages too. Plus, if you don't talk, I'll end up just singing to myself, and you can't tell me to shut up. :3
