I find it so interesting how strong of friendships and communal bonds can be made from playing games with friends and strangers alike. I was wondering where everyone's origins came from in terms of gaming. For me, my first game was Altered Beast on the Sega Master system. My dad picked this up for me in the 80s when I was only 4. We kicked ass together and it was pretty graphic for a 4 year old to play. Punching and kicking zombies and beasts that exploded into pieces lol It was rereleased on the Sega Genesis (which I still own). It's still a lot of fun to play today too.
So what is everyone's story here?

If you really want to go way back, I used to play Monopoly on Windows 95. I stuck with this and a couple other PC gamesin my teens, until I got a Gameboy Advance. Used to play that shit. Then shortly after I got a PS2, and from there I've bought a Wii, Xbox360 and Xbone.

Edited by Mbuck220 : 2/9/2015 1:32:11 PMI don't remember too much of how we got it, or when we got it as I was still under 5 years old... But I remember the NES being my first system, playing Mario, Duck Hunt and Super Off-Road with my dad was the Best. We had like 50 something games for it too from what I remember. Once I got a Sega Genesis, I believe I got it the year It came out, by then Dad stoped playing games... Also by then the NES was gone, that how they paid for the Sega. Let him play any game, that doesnt remind him of DEER HUNTER... He'll ask where is the ground at cause All I see is the sky... No joke... Then it was on to N64, then ps1 (the little grey one), Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2, then Xbox1. Never kept any PlayStations or the N64. As I only bought the Xbox's myself.
