I take it as a general overview, rather than something concrete. It's a good reference for some tendencies, but I prefer the Enneagram. I find it far more insightful.

For some, yes. Jungian typology in general is somewhat flawed. Like I said, I find the Enneagram to be far more reliable. Still, the MBTI can be a good overview, provided the results remain consistent.

Well I only took it once, but I understand psychology enough to know it wasn't right for most of it.

I think he means that as far as MBTI tests go, this one is pretty bad.
