Have you hears of the Charlie Incident?
-
Hmm afraid not must of happened before i returned to bungie.net
-
I will tell the story. There was once a user called MyNameIsCharlie. He often shared small details of his life with us, like the fact he was married and has a son . One day a stream of harassing messages and thread replies involving what they would do to his wife and son drove him over the edge. He went to Deej, detailing what had happened. Deej responded with "if you didn't want this to happen and become a victim, you should not have done what you did" When Charlie asked for help in making it stop, Deej said no and then muted Charlie when he asked for help again. Charlie has since left b.net, and the account is probably still getting messages. Do you see why Deej is hated? He accuses victims and mutes those who ask for help.

I see..but if i may say my opinion deej doesn't have much choice in such matters its his boss and the board who tell him what todo and how todo his job..just cause he enjoys his job doesnt mean he likes all the things hes made todo..but thays just as an exo's veiw of it
-
He muted someone that asks for help or has a problem with his work. He barely interacts with the community outside of #Destiny and the weekly updates.
-
*Shrugs* i dont make out to know his job or life but at times there are things that we must do when were told to to ensure that we keep our job..and its at times a choice we hate
-
Like mute all people with a problem and only talk to one part of the community.
-
Exactly...employees at bungie including deej care..but the board only wants money..and doesnt care about the community and forces what they want and sets strict rules..ones that are broken lead to a fireing
-
The role of a community manager is to talk to the community and interact with them and then take that feed back that he gets to the company. Deej does not do this. When approached by users, he either mutes them or blames and victimizes the person. Then he'll only interact with #Destiny, and scarcely going to other forums and talking to people.
-
As i said..the board is cruel..doesnt mean he is..anyway lets drop it
-
HE IS NOT PAID TO IGNORE AND VICTIMIZE BY THE BOARD! HE DOES IT BY CHOICE!
-
*Holds up my hands*ok..ok i was just saying what i thought..anyway leys change the subject...ok?
-
How about boxes? *puts you in box and puts rocket into rocket before it heads to space*
-
*Transmats right back*dude..not cool..*moves further down the bar*
