When someone corrects me when they know what I mean. They are clearly doing it just for the sake of correcting me. I mean I'm just going to glare at you and in my head, sew all the holes in your body shut so why even bother?

If I'm correcting you, I'm just keeping you in check so that you don't sound stupid/ignorant in the future. Because saying the wrong thing or saying something in a bad way does make you look stupid/ignorant.
