After reading in a thread about when we think Destiny is coming this month.. Three separate users posted that they think its going to be on their birthdays.
So that got me thinking.
Would you guys like it since they know are emails and even birthdays, if Bungie sent out an automatic birthday wish to you on your birthdays?
I've seen other sites do this also and its nice getting a friendly email from the site wishing you a happy birthday.
Its something small, but again can be nice.
Also what do you think about a separate email about your join date? I totally forgot my join date this year and didn't realize I have been here for four year after a few months of not knowing.
If not to your email, what do you think about them sending it right to your inbox for both your birthday and join date?
Also another idea presented by a user:Car15
I think there should be a little cupcake icon next to your name when it's your birthday so other people know. That'd be really nice. It'd help foster that sense of community Bungie likes so much. When you see a guy with a cupcake next to his name, you know to wish him a happy birthday.
What do you think of that Idea if this were possible? They could put a cupcake, Candle, or cake next to the name.
That also got me thinking about the join-date for bungie then. They could put some colored septagon next to the name, a beer bottle, or even a #Dragon?haha Another thing would be putting numbers next to the name on their join-date that would represent a year so it would of course start from 1 and go up. This would just show that the member is has been here for another year.
This is just an idea and like car15 said ," It'd help foster that sense of community Bungie likes so much."
So what do you guys think?

I have no feelings toward birthday emails. It's entirely automated, so I would feel no more special receiving a birthday email from Bungie than I do about the local singles who are hot and ready in my area. But that's just me; I could always just disable the feature I'm sure. I do like the idea of birthdays and account annuals, especially the latter. Show the number of years the account has been active on the day it increments next to the user name.
