The replies in this thread sicken me
I honestly expected more from you guys
Does human life really mean that little to you?
And for all of you saying "I love my pet. It's a part of my family"
You're very selfish
You're only saving the pet so that you don't suffer
You're basically saying "Fuck the stranger's family, I don't want to feel sad"
Sometimes, you have to let it go and do what's right
And really, imagine you're drowning
It'd be pretty weird to see someone swimming over to their dog instead of you
Or imagine it was your sister in the water
You'd be pretty mad at the asshole who chose to save his dog instead of your sister
If anyone says "I'd understand" then I'm calling bullshit on them
Either that or you don't value your family as much as anyone should
Also, in the heat of the moment, would you really save your dog?
Could you really ignore the desperate screams and pleas of someone trying to survive?
I don't think so
My dog. It has done nothing wrong ,the human has. Let him die, screaming for help, he won't get any from me. I don't give a damn about 'morality' or the 'value of human life'. His life means nothing to me. My dog's does.
Wow You're a selfish bastard
-
Actually, I will have just risked my own life to save another, without discriminating based on petty things like race or age, so I hope you'll forgive me if I fail to see my own selfishness. My dog has always been loyal to me, so I will be loyal to it.

Get some friends .
-
I have friends. Do you?
-
Are you sure you have friends ? You hold your dog in such high esteem
-
No that just means you value your family more than his and who wouldnt

I appreciate your efforts to get them to see how selfish they are, but honestly humanity really is shitty enough that they would save their dog, yes, in the heat of the moment. I wouldn't doubt it for a second.
