So, I was looking through the skills for each character, and I noticed that some combinations of skills sound like the game would be made ridiculously easy. For example, I know that people made posts about the raid teams consisting of 5 titans and one warlock/hunter but that might be the easiest way to do raids.
The titan's defender skill tree can have a shield dropped, which if upgraded, can buff your fireteam. One of the buffs increases damage for teammates who walk through it. I'm not sure about it but the wording makes it sound as if the ability can stack, which would make the damage counter insanely high.
Just imagine that If you have 5 titans who all drop a damage buff shield, then if a hunter ruins through all five shields right before the raid boss, activates golden gun with 4 shots and unloads, killing the final boss in a few seconds.
If anyone remembers quadnai from BL2 you can understand my concern
Please everyone bump this so it can get to DeeJ and brought to Bungie's attention.

interresting theory. certainly it makes sense and it would raise some concern if the qualities do stack.

Edited by Chadogtha: 8/22/2014 7:21:16 PMSpecifically the Fender Strat, VERY game breaking.

Edited by Krisk: 8/22/2014 6:41:14 PMI remember Moneyshot most of all, Freaking insanity also problem easily solved by making it a unique buff that can't stack

I don't understand why people are posting about me whining and wanting nerfs, when i just want a confirmation that the raid will still withhold it's difficulty and the game isn't broken before it's released.
People complain about the trolls on this forum, but when actual concerns about the game's coding conflicting with itself arise, they still disregard me as someone whining for attention
-
wasting the cd of all your raid members' supers for something like that would be dumb. especially since having more than one shield up at a time is irrelevant
-
Doubt the buffs stack
-
For the love of god, just stop it. You are claiming imbalance of something you have not played yet. How much of a buff do you get? Does it affect supers? Does it affect secondaries? Does stacking it on your raid team give you more dps than the damage dealing supers? You know none of this... From the sound of it raids have more to do with problem solving skills rather than DPS. If asking for nerfs pre-launch is your idea of problem solving, I think you better stay away from the raids. Deej, disregard this sack of air...
I'm not sure about it
Me either but we will all know in a few weeks.

Thinking a sunsinger and a defender will be necessities in raids, maybe not any kind of hunter as much.
-
I very much doubt the Weapons of Light buff will stack.
-
This assumes you know a lot more about Destiny than you, or anyone else, does. How about we wait and see how the game plays out instead of worrying about things you don't have enough knowledge to really create an informed opinion.
-
Really need to play the game before you start whining about things like this man.
-
I don't think they would allow it to stack.
-
The abilities don't stack. The only why the you can have multiple upgrades is by "double dipping," which is where you use a piece of armor to give you a free ability while you select a different one. For example: one of the titan's super upgrades allows him to shoot down from the air when using his fist of havoc. You can get a helmet that gives you that ability automatically and then select a different one like the ability that leaves a damaging energy field while still keeping the other ability. The character stat upgrades are the same way and there are also armors that allow you to double dip those. However, there are limits to these armors and they fall under the exotic/legendary sets so it will probably take a while to get these especially considering that these buffs are towards the end of these armors' stat progressions.

The titans defender skill and the warlocks sunsinger skill can basically make everyone tanks.
-
I doubt the buff stacks.
-
i doubt these buffs stack that much if they even stack at all.

Edited by Scurred: 8/22/2014 6:18:33 PMI doubt the buff is that massive... If you use golden gun against the boss in the strike in beta, it only does 500 damage a shot. That is about 2x as much as my sniper did... Which is definitely not a lot. A simple buff won't suddenly make it do 20k, maybe 700. And I really doubt that the buff will stack.
