Please leave comments as well so I know whether or not to really purchase the expansion pack. Thanks.

Yes, more guns, more maps, more story. A whole new kind of dlc, not your typical map pack.
-
Do tits feel good against your face?
-
In any other game, the expansion pack may not be worth it. In the best game ever made, why would you not buy the expansion pack?
-
Worth it! but, should i buy them at launch? with the game? i ask because i hear the expansions arent coming out untill Dec.
-
I think it is worth it because it costs money for Bungie to make events and such and to have regular updates for a MMO(ish) games. Frankly I'm surprised this isn't subscription based but instead of forking out cash to play the game Bungie will release DLC that is completely optional to help to pay for these costs AND!! we get all this cool stuff like multilayer maps and new PvE missions at the same price as some of CoD's Map packs containing 3 maps. It seems to be fair to the developers and grate value for the consumers. 10/10 Would buy. Unless anyone thinks I'm ill informed or plainly incorrect and has justification to think so.

This game is going to be set up like an MMO when it comes to introducing new content. Every few months, new content will be added through patches/dlc/expansions, which will give the game a steady flow of new things to do so we aren't spending too long grinding the same raid over and over. So if you ONLY want to play the very tip of the game, don't bother with the expansion. If you want to actually play a gear progression game as intended, then yes. It should be picked up within a couple days of release

If it turns out to be a typical PC-gaming style "expansion pack" it will be. In the PC world, expansion packs don't work like they seem to do with console games where you get a few new maps, a couple of trinkets then they pat you on your head and send you on your way. True expansion packs add on to the ENTIRE GAME. For example. Blizzard released an expansion pack for Diablo 3 earlier this year---The Reaper of Souls. You practitcally got a new game. They completely redid the loot system. They added on an entire new (fifth) chapter to the campaign. And added an entirely new mode of play. PLUS a brand new character class. When the original game was released in 2012 it got sort of lukewarm reviews. But the expansion pack got rave reviews. From what Bungie has said publicly, they seem to have something similar in mind for Destiny's expansion packs.

I got the limited edition which comes with it soooo I say yes
-
Considering Bungie are labelling their DLC as Expansions and not just add ons I suspect they will be worth it. Therefore I voted yes. Jury is out however on this until December when the 1st Expansion hits. (I think that was the announcement from Gamescom, please correct me if I'm wrong)

Edited by CharlieAlphaSeve: 8/21/2014 1:25:38 PMYou may want to wait till people can actually use it, but it is an expansion pass and they tend to be useful. So, I'd recommend getting it.
-
We haven't played it so how'd we know? Stupid.
-
The expansions will include Multiplayer Maps, Weapons, Armor, Story Missions, Co-op Missions, and Lord knows what else. Seriously, buying the Expansions will be equivalent to purchasing an Indie or Arcade game. Same amount of content (although it is of a much higher quality) for the same price. Plus you get to add on to the characters you already have
-
Not from what I've read so far.
-
Limited Edition is the best bang for your buck especially if you are going to get the expansion pack.
-
If the price is right.
-
Considering we haven't seen them or know what they add, no way to tell.
-
Since it's not out yet... So everything we know is what bungie has spoon fed us and speculation... Do I think it will be worth it? Yes. I'm buying limited edition and I figure the extra $30 AUD I'm paying for it covers the extra things I'll get (the post cards book and case ect) so to my mind I'm getting it for bugger all. Would I pay the $30 AUD for it without that stuff? Probably A lot will depend on sep 9th. But if the beta is any indication then it's a yes.
-
i usually HATE expansions but you know i trust bungie to bring a good full of content experience...soo 30 something dollars for 2 will last you a while
-
Yes unfortunately for consumers this whole franchise will probably rely on expansions in the form of DLC hopefully some of it is for free. if not I will just raid this for with picture of DC universe everywhere. Not the best game but offers a lot for free almost as much as Bungie is offering for 60$. I am excited about Destiny don't get me wrong! I loved beta.
-
LE is worth it.
-
More content, stories, and stuff to do. Yes, that will always be worth it.
-
More destiny.... Ya $$$
-
Yeah, but I'm getting a LE so I get it for free, plus a neat ghost happy meal toy
i actually really like the ghost
-
YES! As it was included in my limited edition!
-
Expansion pass for destiny is more like a mandatory thing. Im sure the story will go by in a breeze and if u don't buy it now, your gonna buy it once yur tired of exploring old Russia over and over and over and over and............
-
for the price I got it , yes
