I didn't get a chance to try out the Warlock in the Beta, which I regret, but I just noticed the sound that the Glide ability makes. While watching different gameplay videos on YouTube, I was both confused and surprised by the current sound. Confused because the current audio sounds extremely similar to a jet pack, and not dissimilar to Lift. Surprised because Bungie didn't choose to make it more of a swooshing, rippling sound, like wind flowing through a bird's feathers.
In my opinion, the sounds should be unique and representative of the ability, which I don't feel Glide's sound is in its current state. What do you guys think?
*EDIT* changed the title to better reflect the topic

Edited by Koldraxon: 8/24/2014 11:47:16 AMI assume the option to customize ingame sounds so that it sounds individualized would be a bit crazy, but they could do it. I think something that sounds like an airy THUMP (Hunter) / a sort of windy sound (Warlock) / mixture of last two (Titan). Having the sounds fairly subtle, but definitely noticable, would do. Alternatively they could remove the sound altogether...

Meh. Like many others, I'm indifferent. The jetpack sound is fine because warlocks are still some kind of techomancers and when they're not hurtling magical bombs they use guns and rocket launchers like everyone else so why not jetpacks, or whatever these guardians fly with. A more magical sound effect could be cool, sure, but it doesn't really matter or add much more to the warlocks . They're already pretty awesome.

It's a sound. .... ._____.

While I would like it changed it is hard to suggest that because I am not sure of what would actually sound better.

Edited by Vulper: 8/22/2014 5:58:06 PMI think it'd be better with a more magic sounding hover noise but I think it's such a minuscule detail that they won't address it...

Disappointed in the lack of feedback... Come on guys!

Needs more space magic to it otherwise it's just an invisible jet pack.

It stops the warlock being overpowered!!!

Please feel free to elaborate in your opinion! What do you think Glide SHOULD sound like if you don't like it? If you do like it, why?
