This is just because I love these series I have to ask:
What advantages and disadvantages do the Halo and Mass Effect universe have against each other? Same would go for Clone Wars era Star Wars and the Old Republic?

Halo curbstomps Mass Effect.
What advantages and disadvantages do the Halo and Mass Effect universe have against each other?
Neural physics. The Precursors had technology which was literally immortal, only Halos could destroy them because they cancel out the principles of neural physics. Star Roads were used to link whole solar systems together, push suns through space, displace whole fleets into alternate dimensions, dilate time and space, block slipspace access, or just smash entire planets apart.

I think Mass Effect gets -blam!- due to how their shielding works(kinetic?), and also because it is more "realistic" sci-fi.
What advantages and disadvantages do the Halo and Mass Effect universe have against each other?
halo sort of has advantages, which is an advantage

Mass Effect... Um... I don't think I'm equipped to answer that. Same with Star Wars. My understandings and mental navigation of those universes pales in comparison to Halo.

Don't get too deep lore wise...we'd never find you

Plus, they don't interest me as much.
