We dont know if that impacts the game. Iron banner is the only known mode that stats matter. Look at it this way. In cod, halo. Bf. All the big shooters. Gear doesnt really matter. Everythinng equalized. Thats what the crucible does. Tries to put everyone on an equal playing field. Thumb skills and teamwork and decision making determine victory. While events (assuming there are others like this which id bet there are ) like the iron banner. Our gear matters. So all that loot u earned pays off at this point. Maybe there is a game mode for it 24/7. But i doubt it at launch.
