I've been seeing some speculation on a third subclass:
So, each subclass so far is based on an elemental attack (Titan striker= Arc, Hunter gunslinger= Fire, etc)
DeeJ mentioned that some raids will have penalties to a damage type (like Arc), and that players will have to tailor their characters for these missions.
So, it make sense to me that every class will have a subclass for each damage type: therefore allowing a player to have a damage type available for any given mission. Conversely, if a player locks a subclass, then they will have to develop the other classes.
With this in mind, it looks like players are being encouraged to fully develop each subclass, and eventually each class.
An awesomely massive amount of game play!

What do you think?[/quote] I think with launch we will only see 2 sub classes. However the elemental theory of subclasses, i imagine in a dlc or destiny 2 we will see sub class expansion.
