Clan leaders will know that creating clan threads and waiting for players to respond can take time, and prove frustrating if you're thread doesn't get the exposure it needs.
Over at clans of Destiny, we're creating a recruitment portal to help bridge the gap and help clan leaders connect with players.
As a player, you can register an account and mark yourselves as "looking for clan". Clan leaders can then browse these players, filter by console and send invites to those they think are suitable for their clan. In a nut shell, it's about being pro-active in your search for new members, rather than waiting for them to stumble across your page.
As well as this, each clan get's it's own profile allowing you to set up an online basecamp. Everything you need to run your clan online from calendars, forums, news feeds, rss, management tools, ranking etc.
We also appreciate that many clans already have an online basecamp. In which case, our profile's can act as a gateway for people to find your groups, much like a Facebook page.
I'll keep track of this thread and answer any questions people may have.

I only joined after the beta was pretty much over. But so far I have no complaints. Everyone I have talked to so far seems nice and helpful (it you need help with anything) The hardest part will be choosing what clan you want because there are tons of awesome ones to choose from. There are all types so you should be able to find one or two that you really fit into.
