Thanks :) yeah it takes practice, I personally always criticize my drawings, I don't really show them to people much haha

I know how that feels. Of writing and sketching, though I love them both, I've always excelled more with writing. As much as people tell me I'm a good writer, I find myself extremely protective of my writing and go through a great deal to hide my notebooks.

I totally understand that, when I'm just sketching whether at work or anywhere and someone asks me what I'm drawing as they peer over my shoulder I just want to respond with "stop looking at my sketch book.. " hahah it's mainly because I'm always worried what someone will say about it.

Exactly! Usually I'll just say it's just some research paper or something. That's the thing with working in the arts, whether it's music, sketching, or writing, you have to face the feedback of others at some point. As much as I love feedback, I can't help but fear it just as much haha

Haha I couldn't say it better myself. I'm sure regardless of anyone seeing your writing or not that it's pretty good, writers are very talented :)

You have those that spew wisdom and beauty at 3 A.M., and then the ones where you can barely understand what point they're trying to get across because it's so all over the place But artists are very much the same. I like to think that artists and writers have swapped objectives. The artists make the picture, leaving the viewer to make the story, while writers make the story, leaving the reader to paint the picture Gah! I just really love the arts

Ahh, okay. All I know how to draw is fantasy stuff. That's all I've ever drawn. XD I can do some pretty good stuff if I really set my mind to it, though. I'll try drawing cars and stuff next. :D

I can't draw anything with a face or a body haha just inatimate objects:) that's pretty cool though, I've always wanted to be able to draw fantasy stuff

Faces are really difficult. I took a class in high school, though, and it helped a [i]ton[/i]. Hands are also really awkward, along with feet. :D

I bet, haha everytime I draw a face it ends up looking demented and alien.

That tends to happen a lot. XD Maybe you could look at online tutorials. That might help. :D

Haha I would but I don't really have any interest in drawing people, mainly scenery as well as houses, and interiors.

Practice I've been drawing vehicles since grade 3. :) it's easier if you look at one or a picture at least while drawing. Some I can draw from memory
