Face it. Destiny honestly isn't the game changer it could have been and is starting to look like a let down. The beta apparently showed a quarter of the finished game and we all finished what it had to offer in less than a week. Don't even get me started on how unoriginal the multiplayer is. All in all I see Destiny as a game that will be forgotten by the holiday season

The plot.

Exactly what I got, A great game.

I don't know, I have very mixed emotions about this game. I do honestly think it will be fun for awhile, but it's been way over hyped... It's simply not the destiny they originally said it would be. The PVE is a joke, it was fun for awhile but once the feeling set in of ok I've done this how many times now? Then it just became quite boring. I realize it was only a beta but even a beta should leave you waiting and excited to see more. The problem I had was after the beta I just honestly am not sure how long this game will really last. People are so quick to defend it with the same excuse... It's a beta.... But even if that was only 10% of the game are you telling me I'm going to spend another 90% of this game with the same grind and same small maps? I do see lots of positives with this game but honestly I'm not expecting nothing spectacular until the second or third game is released.

Its sad to see I was right

....yeah sure of course

The game is trash /thread

I went into the beta with no expectations it was the first online game I had ever played and I was pleasantly supprised I can't compare it to other online games or games played online due to the fact I don't play games online or don't own online games (Titan fall for example).this will probably be the only online game I will ever play or own and just go back to playing none online games, at the moment I'm playing Space Station Silicon Valley and Majoras Mask on the N64.

I'll enjoy it but was let down by some of the info we have gotten. Think really Bungie was their own worse enemies by hyping the game like they did then not being able to follow through with a decent amount of what they had said/claimed they set out to do. Overall whether the game will be enjoyable will be left up to the player, if we go in thinking we are already let down we won't find anything to like, but if we go in with an open mind that there could still be other content we'll enjoy then we will. Not sure if it was my own expectations being too high/hopeful or Bungie not doing very good job at conveying their vision

Basing my expectations on Bungie's history, you may be right in your verdict, we can argue about it after September 9. The beta was a quick glimpse at the whole picture. I'm expecting Destiny to take my imagination in a world that I will enjoy visiting often to relax, have fun, and get many headshots.

Private matches.

Everyone go read the "a few gentle reminders" thread...

While a lot of people will likely be disappointed by Destiny, I suspect it will be around for a long time. A lot of others will enjoy the grind for the loot and those that can get the time to do the raid should have a lot of fun.

Did come on this fourm jus to complain about destiny
-
A Good game that will hopefully help my depression.
-
Then don't buy it, it's that simple.
-
I'm expecting to have fun..... It's a game...?
-
so do you think you will be playing two month's after release or will you forget about it like you said all would. i would like to see it hold on longer myself if not master chief collection halo2 anniversary out in beginning of holiday season November.why play a game that bother's you surly there is something better out there if it is that bad. BRUTALLY HONEST.
-
What do you think dlc is for?
-
A really fun pve experience that probably wont last that long but will be great in quality and a pvp experience that may or may not last long depending on the person playing
-
That's my tag you thieving -blam!-er.

While I expect it to be fun, I would be seriously (but pleasantly surprised) if it had the depth and longevity of play Bungie is claiming. I've got my preorder and the expansions paid for and hope it's worth the 95$. The biggest missteps so far are in the over reliance of their website as a social hub for the game. The beta felt empty even though it was full. People were there but you really didn't have any reason to interact with anyone, and what limited interaction tools you were given were utterly useless if they weren't looking right at you.

Edited by bigroy666: 8/16/2014 2:08:16 AMSounds like you were disappointed. Don't waste your money then.Multiplayer was awesome. And that wasn't even 10% of the full game. It's not CoD. If your expecting a twitch shooter this is not for you. I had a great time playing it and exploring. It was awesome for me. I'm not dogging you for not liking it at all. That's your choice. It beat my expectations, which were high. But I like shooters with large worlds not into corridor shooters anymore. With your "scrub" and 1vs1 slang I'm gonna guess your in that new age gamer range, 15-20yrs old which is why you expect every shooter to be twitchy multiplayer/competitive. Again, none of us will miss you.

A quarter of the game? No. Definitely not. I'm expecting a long lasting game. And by the looks of the beta, that's what I'll be getting. The beta was huge, and for playing it 2 weeks straight, I felt like I could go back and do more. If you feel like you can "complete" everything by the holiday season. Then there will be more games out by then you can play.
