What could go wrong?
Specifically the company that bought the hospital and turned it into a for profit business claims it's because the person's insurance company wouldn't deal with "fair" rates. Others see it differently; as a money grab by gouging their customers.
But surely that can't be the case, because surely other companies wouldn't be doing that. Especially ones in the TV, Phone, Internet provider field.
And while we are at it: Why does getting an eval and a bandage cost nearly $9k?

The whole medical field needs to be completely reworked. Drs are inefficient in treatments as they just take an educated guess after you tell them some symptoms( which many illnesses have in common) then insurance is charged more money for prescriptions than you are( ever wonder why insurgence rates are so high ) and BMI is useless for calculating obesity(all successful body builders are considered to be obese). Also here where I live a man had a heart attack and died I the waiting room of the VA and instead of helping him they called 911 and an ambulance was sent from a different hospital when the VA had the facilities to treat him. I hate the medical field.
