I've noticed there doesn't seem to be much talk of Destiny in the gaming media, despite the BETA being a relatively large success.
I've also noticed much of the media seems to downplay Destiny as a highly anticipated game despite the game breaking preorder records as seen here.:

Perhaps it's just my imagination, but is there a media bias AGAINST Destiny? Why are so many people in the media and pop culture either ignoring the game's existence or claiming it's "nothing special."
What do YOU think, is there an actual media bias against Destiny, yes or no?

There just isn't much to talk about right now. Everything is already known. Now it's just waiting till it's released and play it 24/7. But if you go to a gamestore and ask about it, you can bet that the workers there are exited about it. At my store I spend half an hour there just talking about it

Idk about all that but I just wanted to stop in and say gaming "journalism" and such is a total joke. Reviews reflect how much money they got from the producer not the quality of the game.
-
I don't know about all that, but I wish it wasn't plastered across PSN like an annoying billboard. I go on PSN to try and find something to sate my desire to play Destiny, only to have it fist -blam!-ed by Sony into my mind and soul.

Nope, no media bias. Simply Bungie keeping their cards up their sleeve like they always do. You can't report on non-factual info (you can, but in the industry, it's much harder to get away with), but it won't do any of these sites any good. Look at Destiny News or any other fan driven Destiny site, even they are rehashing Beta footage with old info to spread things out and drive traffic. It's not as if we know everything there is to know and news sites can continuously report news on Destiny. Bungie simply doesn't allow it. PS - Datto, not knocking you bro if you read this. I'm one that watches everything you and RFN put out. Withdrawal is getting much worse the closer we get to launch.

#1) there isn't much to talk about. Bungie is keeping their cards close to their chest so to speak. #2) gamers in general have been burned a lot lately with over hyped games not meeting expectations. I don't think "bias against" is the proper phrase. More like "highly skeptical".

You kind of said it yourself, nothing new is really being released to report on. Even sites that are hyping Destiny don't seem to have much to offer lately.
-
I don't think there is media bias. IGN pretty much advertised this game for an entire month with their IGN First coverage, and according to one of their recent articles, it's the most pre-ordered game in history.

They did not seem to have much of a presence at this gamescom either just the new multi player tease is all we got.

No one has an opinion, really? I find that hard to believe.
