Hello everyone, Yesterday I created a little clan experiment, to run a test to see how you, the Destiny community, would react to this particular endeavor that I have been working on. Sadly, the experiment gave me little to work off of, so I have decided to directly ask the community what they think of this project. Please comment and leave your input on this idea. Tell me if you think this is a good idea or if this is an absurdly ridiculous idea. Any ideas you can think of to improve this! I need responses! I have another clan name picked out and ready for the real thing. What I am trying to create is really a Destiny Community lore, stories and history tying our guardians and clans into the world of Destiny. Also, other community made history stories about everything from the founding of the traveler, famous adventurers of the golden age, or even famous battles between the guardians and the fallen. I have been trying to get the concept and details sorted out, while also bringing some attention to this project. The “Condemned Guardians” is something I am hoping will be a product of this thing I am trying to make. I wanted to give people a taste of what it could be and see how they responded to it.”[/i][/b] My best attempt to describe what this community could be: I am trying to create a consumer made lore to Destiny, but not just any fanfiction forum. This will be an attempt to make destiny feel more real and immersive. In a way, I want to insert players into the game. Guardians will be celebrated for their amazing accomplishments or feats by the community. Real members of this community will be put into our own lore. If there is an amazing and epic destiny player who is part of our community, other players can write fan fiction stories of their success in game. A guardian fighting off, single handedly, an army of the hive trying to find a secret map leading you to an ultimate weapon. Maybe somebody will write my guardian as one of the astronauts who discovered the traveler. Possibly one of the members of our community is able to communicate with the traveler. If a well-known member of our community suddenly goes missing from the forums or in game, maybe somebody will write about his finding a hidden cave on the last map he was seen on, or maybe one of the players will tell about a lost text that attempts to describe what the traveler is. Player made clans can be given their own lore, like the “Condemned Guardians,” and inserted directly into the history of Destiny. Not all stories will be about players, there will be many histories, mythos, and theories that will tie directly into the game. The possibilities here really excite me. I will try to do my best to get this whole thing up and running before the release date of Destiny. The community cannot directly add anything to the destiny community lore until the full game releases and we are given something to work off of and research.
