The materials are used for certain upgrades, boosts (like the fallen drop more glimmer for 10 minutes one), exp, and sometimes buying items

I was really hoping that the materials we found throughout the game could be used to craft items like ammo packs and gear that can only be crafted. It would just make the game a bit more interesting if crafting was used for things like ammo, or gear that you crafted from boss enemies dropped materials.

I've been following Destiny for about 2 years. I've soaked up as much information as possible. Regardless, I'm still left in the dark about a few details. Just like the rest of us. Although, it's a little ridiculous how much people don't know about the game. Even when it's just simple information. Not to sound bad, but alot of the people on the forums seem a bit....... uninformed about the most basic game details. Thanks alot for your posts and knowledge. It's good to meet a fellow information broker.
