I've been going through the forums and noticing that a few people cannot truly define what genre Destiny falls under. I have seen some call it a normal FPS while others call it a type of MMO. Some will label it as a Sandbox game and others think it is a game of it's own. I believe in the latter. I think Destiny is a game in it's own category. After all it is in fact an FPS, however it will have open-world environments with dozens of players being match-made simultaneously. This coupled with the fact that Destiny can throw anything at you (though some of it is timed/scripted) I would have to agree that Destiny is a game of a single genre. What do you think? Is Destiny a traditional FPS game? Is it an MMO. Or is it something unique?
