5 RepliesThere are two main types of moon rocks that make up the dark and light areas on the surface of the moon. The lunar mare (dark rocks, primarily basaltic), and lunar highlands (anorthosite). Where are these two rocks? Where are the impact ejecta blankets? Is the moon undergoing some (typically terrestrial) erosional processes?
