Motes of light is all so used as currancy Yes. For now we only know of the speaker to buy cosmetics with them. Ideally, we will be able to purchase more, maybe from the reef or the blackmarket vendor. Weapons & armor is sold for currency Yes, but this is an ineffective way to earn money. The main reason for disassembling these items is for their parts. Im interested in seeing what we get for disassembling exotics/legendary, if theres a rare material we need. You get currency from compleating misions yup. But the good news here, is you earn Marks as u said above. Whether its a vanguard specific mission or different faction, you will gain reputation and marks for said faction as well. So theses will be important. You dont do these missions in explore mode for glimmer. U do them for faction rank/marks You get currency from loot chests yup - as of beta the most effective way of earning glimmer. What other things are currancy in Destiny? We dont know yet. Each planet, has a unique "SpinMetal" Like material that u can gather and turn in for rewards. Also i would imagine for the different factions, reef included, that their may be different marks between them. Or rare materials we can find by breaking down exotics etc. ALSO!!! STRANGE COINS! STRANGE COINS!!!! Super important and hugely overlooked. These can be earned by completing the first gold tier rating of a public event per day! ALSO reward from the cryptarch. These are used at the black market vendor who sells exotics/ legendaries.
