When in explore mode. If u call up your ghost. Each mission type, ( same reward dif quest) has a unique icon. In the alpha amd beta there was 5 unique icons for missions during explore. One was a ghost. I forget the others. But when u call your ghost up and look at the mission beacon (blinking green thing) it will have the icon related to its reward. 1 of them will give more marks then the others. I just forget.

Yeah, I noticed the icons, just could never remember which ones where the best for rep/marks. Im sure by the time I actually get to play destiny there will be plently of guides.

The only ones that give marks are the High Value Target missions. The symbol for them is a star with a pentagon around it. All of the other beacon missions give Vanguard Rep but not marks. There are actually 5 beacon mission types. The mission types and their symbols are as follows: Diamond with 4 arrows pointing inward - kill a certain number of enemies. This one has you kill any enemy type. The Pyramid - Item collection. Usually has you kill a certain enemy type. The star with the pentagon around it - HVT missions. They have you kill a specific named enemy. The ghost - this one has you scan a piece of old world tech. The compass - Exploration mission. They have you stand in a certain spot until the progress bar fills. As for bounties. There are quite a few different types of bounties. As they are random, I'm not sure anyone has experienced all the types, yet.
