COD is even more awful now
In an attempt to recover from the beta hangover, I played a couple matches of COD Ghosts on my 360. Now I can expect to play worse after months of inactivity, but what happened was godawful. I couldn't move two feet without being shot at and I was losing by enormous margins. Taking into account my lack of skill, I still believe that COD has just become an unbalanced game full of people who take it too seriously (I know, breaking news). But thanks to that gilded pile of maggot infested turds that we call COD, I am even more eager to play Destiny and avoid the try-hards. See you in the Tower, Xbox One Guardians.
Edit: In response to what I've seen in replies, I plan on being mainly PvE, so that should help me avoid try hards. I also respect everyone's opinions: some think COD is great, others see it declining, others see it as an awful series from the start; to each their own. I realize this post isn't much about destiny, but I'm using this to say I am quite eager for the game.

CoD was good until black ops 1 and then mw2, bits of mw3. rest are garbage. and the sequels are milking money from gamers' pockets with DLCs. I hate the new CoD. couldn't be bothered with it. If i wanted my soldier to wear an exo suit and jump high , i'd rather play Titanfall. Am i right?

I've thought the Multiplayer was unbalanced for a long time now. Where as I am now terrible at COD...was decent at MW2...I am pretty decent in Destiny PvP. I can not wait for 9/9/2014.

I relized that I hate infinityward so far every game have bought from them sucks but every game I bought from tryarch seems to be fun and about 70% balanced so the people saying it is unbalanced well only half of the seriers is unbalanced

CoD 4 and Treyarch's creations are the only ones I have bought. IW just makes so damn crappy multiplayer experiences. Modern Warfare 2-3 and ghosts are just so annoying as hell.

Well, to help manage your expectations, allow me to offer some advice: there [i]will[/i] be tryhards in PvE, too. People who expect certain builds, weapons, and armor loadouts. Specifically, you will see this in raids, where roles will be defined and strategies micromanaged. If you've never played high-level endgame content in an MMO, this is what's expected from a player. To go one step further, there are even "professional raid teams" who are sponsored to be world firsts. "Tryhards," or just people who want to take the game to a competitive level, will be everywhere. All you have to do is enjoy what you do and let them do their thing. See you around on Xbox One!

played ghosts for maybe two days before trading it in. I didn't have the same issues, it's just not that fun anymore. hooked on destiny, nothing will do until then.

The only reason I got it was to hold me over until battlefield came out but it didn't even make it that long. It's terrible. I actually enjoyed black ops 2, it was fun but ghost is trash. Hopefully they make up for it with advanced warfare. I doubt it though. I'll stick to battlefield.

People still play COD? I gave up at CoD : BO They dumbed down the game so hard that I simply stop playing. Start playing around 9am till 8pm and simply said : why am I playing this ez mode bullshit game ?. I didn't lost one SnD HC round that day. Since Xbone and PS4 are doing a bunch of remake, CoD4 HD tons of maps , all DLC free. Hell... it might earn GOTY !
