So, a whole lot of complaints about the community have been posted, and I have participated in some of them. There has been a lot of complaining about various decisions that Bungie has made, a lot of entitlement, and it has driven me just as crazy as those who have started threads complaining about these folks. Again, I totally agree with the complaints about the instant gratification entitlement whiners.
HOWEVER!!!!
I have met some awesome individuals in here as well. I have laughed at some of the comments and replies to my comments so hard that my kidneys hurt, my eyes watered, and my fiancee decided that I have officially lost what little remained of my mind. I have seen articulate, well laid out, logically structured, and eloquently explained constructive criticisms, some of them on dead dog topics, that have actually swayed my thinking on one or two topics just a little bit close to a middle ground.
I guess I wrote all of that to say, I like you guys. I'm glad I found my way here. See you starside.

Glad to have you here man, it's gets better with time. Find a group of players you enjoy gaming with, make friendships, share life stories, reflect on old times. Forget the attention seekers, stick to as you said, "articulate, well laid out, logically structured, and eloquently explained constructive criticisms".... yeah, those conversations. It's good to know that the Bungie Community also extends beyond bungie.net. This is just their homebase. Glad to see you making yourself comfortable. Also, pants are optional. Cheers!

There are certainly a lot of great individuals here! It can take some effort to find them on occasion, but there are some cool, passionate people here. Always keep your eye out for events and gatherings (we're starting to see them come back regularly for the first time in the past 5ish years, I'd argue), and don't, DON'T be afraid to organize your own! There's a vacuum of community leadership that needs filled and I am desperately trying to reiterate that where appropriate to encourage members, both old and new, to step up and be creative with their time on this site. Come to PAX, play in some community game nights, and, most importantly, don't let the number of replies define what you post on this site. Be excellent to each other.
