Let's say...
You're standing on a dock that sits over a lake.
You see your pet and a stranger drowning, your pet on the left and the stranger on the right. They are both the same distance away from you.
You only have time to save one, so you must choose. There's absolutely no way to save both of them.
So who would you save?

Call in air strike and say wtf * blows up * everyone

Edited by Seven: 8/21/2014 9:06:15 PMFirst I run towards the human, I then splash water in their face, as soon as they get their vision back I slowly rescue my pet from the water and allow them to defecate on the now 75% drowned human. As my pet walks to safety a smile at the stranger, their lungs now filled with water.

Neither.
-
What if I have a pet Human?
-
too many people on this earth anyway
-
Let the person die hoping they are one of the people who chose "pet" in this forum.
-
My pet, because humans can be revived through CPR if I'm quick enough.
-
My pet, because I picked him and raised him since he was a pup. He's my dog.
-
My pet. I don't know them. Plus dogs are more loyal then people anyway.
-
Stranger, obviously. It would very hard to deal with considering it's YOUR pet and you feel responsible for keeping it safe, but you'll get over it eventually. What I wouldn't get over is knowing a family lost a love one for a pet.
-
My pet... I don't care for the human
-
The doggy
-
I can't fathom myself dragging a drowning human out of a lake. My cat it is.
-
My dog has training in swimming. Person it is.
-
There's absolutely no way to save both of them.
Bullshit. My pet is a dolphin, so I'd save it, and then ride it to save the stranger.
-
Too cold, can't swim, oh well.

As much as I would love to answer this..This is certainly a question of morality. Basically it's not that much different that the scenarios in the movie series, Saw. Of course that was a live or death situation, but generally the same kind of case. Animals and humans alike are alive. Unless if it's a machine, that'd be in a whole 'nother category.

-
Person, unless my pet is a husky or tiger.
-
Which pet? I have 3.
-
Remember: The stranger could always be a terrorist or a mass murderer or a child abuser. I know that my pet is neither of all that.
-
