Who would you save? Your pet or a stranger?
Let's say...
You're standing on a dock that sits over a lake.
You see your pet and a stranger drowning, your pet on the left and the stranger on the right. They are both the same distance away from you.
You only have time to save one, so you must choose. [b]There's absolutely no way to save both of them.[/b]
So who would you save?

what if your pet's an amphibian? Mine's a dog, by the way. He can swim. He'd probably save the other guy before I could decide. If I had to choose, I'd save my pet though.

I would save the stranger then punch him for falling in so I had to save him also he's buying my next pet

Why is the stranger by himself and why are they in a lake if they can't swim? My pet, because this hypothetical would be extremely rare and thus makes it a stupid question.

Objectively it must be the stranger. As much as I love my pets they aren't as fundamentally valuable or important as a human life.

Dogs can swim from birth, so my dog would help save the stranger :D

I know I would try to save both regardless, but in the heat if the moment I would probably jump at whatever is thrashing about more. The squeaky wheel gets the oil.
