You came to the wrong board... Does Diablo have a ranking system? Did Halo:CE?
I can tell you that professional players don't give a flying -blam!- of their rank or 'matchmaking' statistics. I'd prefer if this game stayed away from that system, which has done 0 good for the gaming population.
If you truly want to see how you rank against the best in the world, you go to MLG. If you can't take that, then go to Local Tournies. There are plenty of ways to play competitively.

Diablo is adding a ranking system in the next patch, and I'm sure Bungie will down the road as well.
